We have a lot of female clients over 40 and get asked for more “Cardio” type classes all time BUT Cardio isn’t always the best way and can actually be making your stress, anxiety and weight gain worse! We aren’t anti Cardio and it definitely has its place but smarter movement choices mean less burnout, more balance and more longevity ❤️

Before joining Nu You Pilates, I honestly never thought Pilates was something I’d enjoy… or even need.
I thought it looked far too easy and wouldn’t really do much.

I could not have been more wrong.

My very first class (Tim’s Fitter, Stronger session) humbled me immediately. It challenged me in ways I didn’t expect at all.
Then I mixed it up with Holly’s Sculpt & Tone classes… and yep, humbled all over again. And honestly? I still am, every single time 😅

The changes in my body have been insane — not just physically, but mentally too.
I feel stronger in ways I never have before, my body feels more toned and supported, my posture has improved, and I feel more in control of my movement. Everyday things feel easier, and I’m so much more aware of my body.

But the biggest change? Confidence.
Confidence in how I move, how I feel in my clothes, and in my body as a whole — not because it’s “perfect”, but because it’s capable.

What I love most about Nu You is the flexibility. With so many classes across the week, it actually works around real life.
As a mum of two, a pub landlady, working part-time and studying to become a PT, I can’t commit to the same class on the same night every week. One week it’s a Monday, the next it’s Thursday, and if I can squeeze in a Saturday morning, that’s a win.

No matter how busy your schedule is, Nu You Pilates has you covered.

Pilates that looks easy… but absolutely burns 🔥

When I first started Pilates, these arm movements looked almost too simple.
No heavy weights. No big, dramatic moves. Just small, controlled motions.

But wow… the burn 😅

Arms have always been my weak spot, and those first couple of weeks I felt it instantly — that my arms are DONE feeling.
What I’m noticing now though is such a shift.

The moves still burn, but it’s a good burn.
A toning burn.
A my arms are actually getting stronger burn 💪

That’s one thing Pilates has really taught me:
you don’t need big, flashy movements for something to be effective. Sometimes the quiet, controlled stuff is what really does the work.

Slowly building strength, control, and confidence — even in the areas I used to avoid 🖤

Why pushing harder isn’t working…If your nervous system is stuck in Fight or Flight, pushing harder often leads to more pain, not more progress. Strength comes from connection not force.
