Before joining Nu You Pilates, I honestly never thought Pilates was something I’d enjoy… or even need.
I thought it looked far too easy and wouldn’t really do much.
I could not have been more wrong.
My very first class (Tim’s Fitter, Stronger session) humbled me immediately. It challenged me in ways I didn’t expect at all.
Then I mixed it up with Holly’s Sculpt & Tone classes… and yep, humbled all over again. And honestly? I still am, every single time 😅
The changes in my body have been insane — not just physically, but mentally too.
I feel stronger in ways I never have before, my body feels more toned and supported, my posture has improved, and I feel more in control of my movement. Everyday things feel easier, and I’m so much more aware of my body.
But the biggest change? Confidence.
Confidence in how I move, how I feel in my clothes, and in my body as a whole — not because it’s “perfect”, but because it’s capable.
What I love most about Nu You is the flexibility. With so many classes across the week, it actually works around real life.
As a mum of two, a pub landlady, working part-time and studying to become a PT, I can’t commit to the same class on the same night every week. One week it’s a Monday, the next it’s Thursday, and if I can squeeze in a Saturday morning, that’s a win.
