✨ First class of 2026 ✨
I didn’t realise quite how much I’d missed this.
From the first few minutes, I felt it in every muscle — my body reminding me that December wasn’t exactly kind to it 😅
I only managed one class in December. We were away in Canada for two weeks, then it was Christmas, New Year… and if I’m being really honest, I barely exercised at all. Life happened.
And yes, I felt that physically — but I felt it mentally even more.
When I don’t look after myself, it shows. I was snappy, short-tempered, impatient. Not the mum I want to be for my girls.
Getting back into class at NU You Pilates was the reminder I needed.
Looking after myself isn’t optional — it directly affects how I show up as a mum, as a partner, as me.
There’s no shame in a pause.
No guilt in enjoying December.
But I’m really glad to be back, moving, breathing, and choosing myself again.
