y o g a i s a n a d v e n t u r e - yoga can come across as a gentle activity of sorts, a relaxation tool, far from a wild, great adventure, right? it doesn’t involve alot of gear; ropes, fancy running shoes, expensive skis, maps, tents, technical gear and gadgets. heck if i’m being pedantic regarding boundries of a mat and its 4 walls, you don’t even need a mat (nice for those old knees though hey). sometimes i feel very sloth like and unadventerous if i chose a yoga session over climbing one of the many mountains that surround me, but then i’m reminded that sitting alone with my thoughts and my breath, on the floor, in my room- delving into the inner depths within, letting the thoughts rise up... all the thoughts; wading amongst the dark and the light, tuning into the white noise, ergh all that white noise... makes climbing a mountain or training for a marathon seem pretty easy i reckon. the hardest journey is the one into the self, by yourself. it’s called a yoga journey for good reason, and i reckon it gets just as wild 🦁⚡️.
an old photo from a little holiday that opened up a door to the adventure 2.5 years ago now, from a magic filled room of light, the house that contained me when my yoga practice journeyed to new heights, pre YTT training... ah how little i knew what mountains were about to rise up infront of me 📸 .
