From choccy bars to cheeky chips,
We’ll track them now as handy SWIPS!

So when you fancy cake or crisps,
No need for guilty frowns or lisps—
Just jot it down, enjoy those nibbles,
With SWIPS there’s joy (and far less quibbles!).

So raise a mug, give hips a wiggle,
And treat yourself without the giggle.
For slimming’s not about the sins…
It’s SWIPS and smiles—and slimmer grins!

Ann-Marie joined our Slimming World group in Jan 2024 👌
In just 4 months she had lost 2 Stone, and had become a big part of our Wednesday morning group 🥰
By the end of August 2024 Ann-Marie had lost 4 Stone!! 😃
This year she reached her 5 Stone award and hit her Target weight 🎯
Being voted as our ‘Woman of the Year’ was a big shock to her, but not to us!!
Ann-Marie is a huge inspiration in group, showing everyone that with determination, planning and support from group, everyone can achieve their weight loss dreams! ⭐

July 2025: “I really want to lose weight, but there’s no point in starting now - I’m going on holiday in 2 weeks”

August 2025: “I still want to lose weight, but I’ll just wait until the schools go back”

September 2025: “ Maybe it’s time to join, but I’ve got two nights out this month so I’ll wait until next month”

October 2025: “Right this month I’m going to start… but Halloween is coming up so I know there will be loads of sweets. I’ll get that out the way first. “

Satiety is key when it comes to weight loss.
If we’re eating foods that don’t fill us up, we’re left feeling hungry — and that can lead to overeating, feeling deprived, or even giving up altogether. 🙁

That’s why learning to eat healthily is just as important as reducing calories. Yes, we lose weight by managing the calories we consume — but it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about understanding how different foods affect our hunger and satiety, and learning which choices will keep us fuller for longer.

We need to discover how to build lifelong healthy habits — habits that help us reach our goals and feel good along the way. 💪

It can be tempting to go for a “quick fix” — a supplement, shake, or restrictive diet. But these don’t teach us how to control our calorie intake or change the habits that led us to gain weight in the first place. They don’t help us — or our children, who learn from our example — build lasting, healthy routines. 👨‍👦
