This year, our team at Stride Bridlington added 1,800 poppies to our front hedge in honour of Remembrance Day. (Special shout out to Mercedes, one of our Advanced night support workers who really did make this her 6 week mission).

With the support and dedication of our staff, we created this display to honour those who served and sacrificed.

Our manager, Sam, a proud ex-military veteran who served in Afghanistan, led the effort - making this tribute especially meaningful to our home.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

❤ Remembrance Day - Proudfoot Care Group ❤

Today, we come together at Proudfoot Care Group to honour the courage, sacrifice, and strength of all those who have served — past and present.

Remembrance Day is not only a time to reflect on the bravery of those who gave their lives for our freedom, but also to recognise the enduring spirit of those who continue to serve our communities today. Their selflessness reminds us of the power of compassion, courage, and care — values we hold close in everything we do.

We are especially proud to have an ex-military veteran as part of our team, whose dedication, resilience, and leadership inspire us every single day. Her experience and service remind us of the sacrifices made by so many and the strength that continues to shape our world for the better.

Today, we remember.
We honour.
And we thank each and every one who has served — in war, in peace, and in our communities.
