I have to rant!!
My W.A.V (wheelchair Accessible vehicle)
is 14 years old and showing its age, it is starting to cost £££'s
to maintain. I have spent many hours looking to update and buy a new or used WAV.
My needs are not excessive, but trying to find the right vehicle
is not going well, as prices are beyond most disabled wheelchair users' pockets, £50 to/60,000 for new, but £40,000 for used.
The Gov't Motorbility scheme is a farce, the grants to help are only given to those with children or who do charity work.
Get a WAV on motorbility the deposit is around £28,000, then all your PIP for 5 yrs when you start the same thing over again.
Where in hell do the disabled on benefits that are unable to work
save £28,000 or more?
Seems to me the more disabled you are, the less you're cared about.
Anybody winning the Lotto, please spare a few ££'s to help. :-)
