​In these roles you’ll work within our independent supported living team and help support vibrant individuals who lead varied and active social lives. As well as supporting with everyday tasks, the sorts of activities you will get involved in include:
- Attending activities outside the home including sports groups, gardening, music classes, visits to the cinema, and enjoying the great outdoors.
- Supervising, educating, and supporting with activities at home including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and daily living tasks.
- Supporting with health and wellbeing including administration of medicine, booking and going to medical appointments, supporting with healthy eating, and being active.

We wanted to say a big thank you to VONNE and North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for giving us a voice and a platform to influence change in access to emergency health services for adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

We appreciate your efforts to include our community and are so grateful of the opportunity to be involved in such a fantastic movement for change.

We have been working in collaboration with Northumberland National Park on a project called Healthy Park, Healthy People.

Supporting everyone to get out into our national parks and to enjoy their beautiful surroundings and learn more about nature.

Everyone we support at Natural Ability has thoroughly enjoyed it!

Even those reluctant walkers amongst us are converted and now love getting out and about spotting things they’ve learned about during their time at the National Park - thank you all so much. 🍃🌳🌱🌿

We have an exciting opportunity for Female Support workers to join our Independent Supported Living team.

​In this role you’ll work with vibrant people who lead varied and active social lives. As well as supporting with everyday tasks, the sorts of activities you will get involved in include:

This is a permanent role and hours vary between 24 – 37.5 pw on a 3 week shift pattern.

This role is on a relief basis so you have the flexibility to choose the hours to fit around your other commitments, but you will be part of a close-knit team that makes a difference by enabling the people we support to live as independently as possible.

Parent Coffee Morning - Housing focus

We are delighted to invite all parents & carers to our next coffee morning on March 26th at 10am in school. ☕☕☕☕

The focus for this half term's coffee morning will be housing.

We are fortunate enough to have secured representatives from Northumberland Homefinder, who provide social housing, and also Natural Ability who have supported housing options also for young adults with SEND.

We are hoping to secure a few more professionals / organisations so that parents / carers can ask questions about the pathways to finding accommodation for young people.
