As new parents, you are given a lot of equipment advice very quickly. Some of it is helpful, some of it feels confusing, and much of it comes without context. Two common questions we are asked in antenatal and postnatal classes are about car seats and baby seats. Parents often want to know how long their baby can safely stay in them and whether being upright rather than lying flat can affect their body or development.
