We're back with loads of enthusiasm and exciting projects on the horizon!!! It's great to see familiar and new faces return to our home education groups - the farm was buzzing today. This half term will fly by and with so much to do, we’re worried it’ll be over before we know it. 🤩

🌿 Farm Closure Notice 🌿

After a very busy and brilliant Easter HAF programme, Apple Tree Farm will now be closed until Monday 27th April.

This short pause gives our amazing team (and our even harder-working animals 🐐🐑) a well-deserved rest and time to recharge.

Over the past few weeks, the farm has been full of energy, learning, laughter and a lot of muddy boots — and while we wouldn’t have it any other way, a little quiet time is definitely needed!

The farm phone and office will be unmanned for a few days but some of our amazing admin team will step in undercover periodically to pick up anything that is extremely urgent.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding 💚
We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the next term.

Until then… the animals are clocking off too 🐑😴

🌿 Easter at Apple Tree Farm…the numbers 🌿

40 spaces… but because we like to keep things interesting, 46 amazing children joined us 🐐
4 children received 1:1 support (and approximately 400% extra cuddles 💚)
6 members of staff, on average, kept everything running smoothly (and mostly mud-free… mostly 😅)
Across 4 days = 12 hours of farm fun, learning and chaos (the good kind!)

🍝 120 meatballs and 45 burgers served
🐑 Countless lamb cuddles delivered (scientifically immeasurable but VERY important)

From muddy boots to big smiles, it’s safe to say it was a week full of connection, confidence building and a lot of laughter.

To our incredible team, families and young people — thank you for making it so special 💚

Now… we just need a lie down and maybe one more meatball 😄

Lambing season has officially wrapped up with Martha and Gertie! Gertie's little ram lamb Cosmo is a firecracker, pure menace running circles around the hay feeder shortly after being born. Martha's ewe lamb, on the other hand, had some interesting developmental choices - we're talking giraffe-length legs! It's been a lovely ride, and we're looking forward to catching up with those on the waiting list for lambs soon. But first, snoozies 🥱.

These sessions are block bookings each half term. The way the dates fall - the first block is just 3 sessions. The perfect opportunity to try!

🌼 SEND Family Fun Day - Exmoor 🌼

Looking for something to do as a family this Easter?

A free SEND Family Fun Day is taking place at Calvert Trust Devon, Exmoor, for families with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. No formal diagnosis is required.

🗓 Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April

Choose a session:

• 10.00am to 1.00pm
• 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Families can take part in a range of activities in a supportive, accessible setting. Main activities may include archery, bikes, rafting, camp craft and climbing, alongside arts and crafts, a sensory room and outdoor activities.

Refreshments will be available to buy on site, and families are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks.

The night sky was beautiful for the arrival of lambo number 6, just after 3am. And we still can’t believe we missed the opportunity for that joke with lambo number 5. So disappointing. 🤦🏽‍♀️

5am shenanigans in a classic case of ‘this could’ve been avoided if one of us had done their job properly.’ Alas, here was Brenda barely awake, trying to get a barely-willing-to-live lamb to feed. And ranting.
