Sunrise musings!

Ok, so a theme is developing here!

As I set out on my walk this morning, I was musing on how vital and non-negotiable my morning routine is for me, no matter the weather conditions. I get up, throw on some clothes, sort Dilly's litter tray and breakfast, make a coffee, get my boots on, and off I go. With an unwashed face and unbrushed hair.

Sarting the day deeply connected to nature and the elements aligns my being.

Actually, the word connection is a misnomer, as we already are nature. It's the rewilding we need.

My CEO has created this time for my Siren to feel, revel, and be wild, so my Slayer can take aligned action later. This is the phenomenal framework offered by on the Holy Trinity programme. It's a game changer in all areas of life!

So this lead to my recognition of how the earth supports me, and even though, as I've shared, I've not had the healthy conscious masculine in my life, I am supported. Modron (Mother Earth) holds me with unconditional love and feeds my body and spirit in all ways.

The sun is part of my Relational Medicine, and so I have a sunrise ritual that I thought I'd share (in addition to sun salutes on my yoga mat).

I'm enjoying posting organically. I realise that spending 20 mins or so sharing my morning musings with my second coffee is more aligned for me than trying to schedule posts in advance, which feels like a daunting effort!

This way also supports my growth edge in sharing myself, taking up space, and being seen!

Sunrise walk & tapping musings!

I wrote yesterday about writing a new chapter, and this morning's insights are about shifting the narrative on 'enoughness', interrupting the old patterns in the brain, creating a new groove.

My core / wounded script of "I'm wrong, not important, it's not safe to be me" created (amongst other strategies) the Perfectionist. So I've always strived for perfection, not just in the big areas of life but in every moment, every thought, every choice. It's been exhausting.

I've learned that perfection is impossible to achieve, and inevitably falling short of my expectations reinforces the 'not enoughness'.

And it's not just 'too little', it's also 'too much'...e.g. too fat = not thin enough, too noisy = not quiet enough...and so on.

I am now able to reframe my experiences and expectations.

Instead of trying to be perfect all the time, I ask myself, "How is this experience perfect for me?" especially the ones that could be perceived as 'wrong'.

For example, this morning, I'd planned to walk a certain way. I was out an hour later than usual as I'd not slept well. So more people around, more cars. I dithered but my feet (body) just took me in an unplanned (mind) direction and I began to think I'd gone the 'wrong' way as it was too noisy for me, but just then a beautiful black rabbit ran alongside me in the field (first time ive ever seen a black one) and two grey rabbits appeared playing in front of me!

I also now reframe 'wrong'. For example, I bought bin liners that did not fit my bin. My brain tried to default to "I bought the wrong bin liners" = opening the door to self-flaggelation.

But I caught the thought just in time, thanked it and exclaimed, "I bought a different size, but it's OK, they'll do" = peace.

See how powerful these reframes are?

Joy has the power to heal. But we need to be able to access it. In times of hardship it's easy to get bogged down in the pain and the difficulty....to go into victim mentality, or to numb out with unhelpful behaviours.

As Emily Fletcher tells us, bliss is any emotion fully felt. Think about that. The freedom that comes from allowing ourselves to fully feel what we feel, not surpressing or numbing because it's too painful to go there.

Go there and you will come out the other side feeling release, relief, transformation, joy!

Through practices such as movement, breathwork, energy medicine, being in nature, and gratitude, we can build our the muscle that will help us to sit with emotions until we feel the JOY!

Choose Joy!

At the weekend, beneath this Great Oak, and in the fields in which it stands, I celebrated life with my family and with the Solskin tribe. and Sheffield Goddess Temple.

The theme of the festival and the ceremonies was Past, Present and Future with the three Norns of Fate (Urd, Verdandi and Skuld)

My daughter and I have endured trauma; abuse, pain, grief, isolation, loneliness, ill-health...the whole nice yards of hardship. And yet we survived, and with commitment, determination, and longing for a better life, we learned to love, forgive, practice gratitude and acceptance, connect to the earth, and our ancestral traditions.

We learned how to access joy within, and thus we found tribe, put down strong roots, began to thrive and to manifest dreams and change our reality.

Your breath can set you free!

On 26 May, we will gather for our first Breathfed session and a deep dive into the theme of Freedom.

Freedom, in the triad of Freedom-Joy-Growth, is the first step on the path of raising your vibration in order to become the energetic match to magnetise your dreams.

First, we set the theme and our intentions - using Practical Magic coaching cards - for honouring that which holds us back, blocks the flow or limits our beliefs. We will then move the shadow through the body to create space for the joy to flood in.

Next, SOMA breathwork will soothe the nervous sytem, then ramp up the vibrations. And we finish with restorative yoga nidra, and a sharing circle.

Breathfed launches in two weeks!

Join the Breathfed community on 26 May 09.30-11.00 on Zoom.

The first three Breathfed sessions focus on three fundamental qualities or states of being: Freedom, Joy and Growth.

In Celtic symbolism, the number 3 is the most sacred and magical, and the Triskele symbol (three interlocking spirals) represents many important aspects of Celtic lore:

1. Motion - three arms move outwards from its centre, in particular action, progress, revolution and competition.

2. Cycles & patterns - life-death-rebirth; spirit-mind-body; past-present-future; creation-preservation-destruction; freedom-joy-growth.

3. Celtic worlds - underworld, earth-bound, celestial.

4. Archetypes - Maiden, Mother, Crone; Divine Mother, Divine Father, Divine Child.

I've chosen to offer Freedom, Joy and Growth, as they are the seqential high vibrational states of being required to manifest and magnetise your dreams into your reality. Who doesn't want that?
