Residents enjoyed a lovely baking session led by our chef, Paul this week. They learned how to make flatbreads with a variety of flavours and enjoyed getting hands-on throughout the session. Culinary activities are a wonderful way to stimulate the senses and encourage engagement, conversation, and creativity. 👩‍🍳🍞

We held our monthly church service this Monday, and it was a truly meaningful time for the residents. A heartfelt thank you to the Pastor and the team from Elim Hope Church: Lane End for continuing to visit us and lead the service each month. Your ongoing support and presence mean so much to many of the residents. 🙏

Residents were delighted to welcome Heddi back after the holidays for her vibrant Kiddleydivey sessions. They truly enjoy her interactive approach, especially the use of props and musical instruments, which always bring plenty of energy, smiles, and engagement. 🎶✨

Residents enjoyed a lovely creative art session this afternoon with Jan Gaska. They were given the option to paint different animals, and it was no surprise that cats were the most popular choice! It was wonderful to see everyone express their creativity and proudly show off their artwork. 🎨

Residents were delighted to welcome Jean Claude back after a long gap. With his engaging and lively performance, he had everyone captivated in no time, bringing smiles, laughter, and lots of enjoyment all around. 🎶✨

On New Year’s Day, residents began the celebrations by creating a beautiful wish tree, sharing their hopes and wishes for the year ahead. We are still collecting wishes and will do our very best to make them come true. ✨

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed Baileys and nibbles, along with tasty treats such as pork pies, mince pies, and pigs in blankets. In the afternoon, we had a special New Year quiz led by Mohammed, followed by cheese and wine to round off a truly lovely day together. 🥂

After a busy week full of celebrations, residents enjoyed a calm and relaxing afternoon today with some lovely knit and natter time. A perfect opportunity to unwind, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. 🧶☕

Residents enjoyed a truly lovely Christmas celebration yesterday. They received Christmas presents from Santa’s grotto, and Santa also visited each resident who was unable to come to the grotto, ensuring no one missed out on the magic. Seeing their faces light up as Santa arrived was simply heart-warming. 🎅✨

We ended this special day on a festive note with an afternoon of cheese, wine, and crackers, enjoyed by all. A wonderful way to celebrate Christmas together. 🎄

CHRISTMAS FAIR AT RIDLEY MANOR🎄🎅🏼

On Saturday, we hosted our Christmas Fair, and it was a truly wonderful day from start to finish. The celebrations began with a fantastic pantomime performance of Beauty and the Beast by Troubadour Productions, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

This was followed by a delicious buffet offering a wide variety of choices for residents and relatives. In the afternoon, our Christmas Fair came to life with lots of lovely stalls, including festive goodies, candles, homemade fudge, puzzles, books, tombola, and much more. Residents and children from our families also had the chance to meet Santa in his grotto, bringing plenty of smiles and festive cheer.🎅🏼

To round off the day, we were treated to an amazing performance by Sophie and Mikey, providing the perfect ending to a memorable celebration. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and joined us to make the day so special. 🎄✨
