Movie Afternoons at Ridley Manor 🎬

At Ridley Manor, we love hosting regular movie afternoons in our very own cinema hall, complete with a big projector for the full experience. 📽️🍿
Today, residents enjoyed watching the classic South Pacific. Musical films are always a big hit, as everyone loves joining in with the songs and sharing the joy together.

A Creative Morning at Ridley Manor 🎨
To warmly welcome our emergency services personnel yesterday, the residents of Ridley Manor spent a lovely morning crafting handmade thank-you cards with the guidance of Aimee Rex and Rose craft club💌
Residents poured so much care and creativity into each card, making them truly special tokens of appreciation. Activities like these not only spark creativity but also bring a sense of purpose and joy to our community. 💜

Happy Emergency Services Day! 🚓🚑🚒

Today at Ridley Manor, we were delighted to mark Emergency Services Day by inviting our incredible local heroes- including fire, ambulance, police, and paramedics, for a special brunch. 💙
A heartfelt thank you to the officers from Thames Valley Police who joined us and spent quality time with the residents. Residents were so proud to present the emergency service teams with handmade thank-you cards and little goodie bags as tokens of appreciation for all that they do. 💐
It was a truly meaningful day filled with gratitude, smiles, and community spirit.

Understanding Dementia with Dr. Nori Graham 🧠

This afternoon, we were truly honoured to welcome Dr. Nori Graham to Ridley Manor for an insightful session on “Understanding Dementia.” Dr. Nori shared her extensive knowledge on the different types of dementia, its diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, while also answering questions from our guests and participants.

With many years of service in the NHS, Dr. Nori brings a wealth of experience as a mental health and dementia specialist. Her guidance was invaluable, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from her expertise. 💜

Monthly Church Service at Ridley Manor ⛪️

Yesterday afternoon we were blessed to have our church service led by Pastor Scott from Elim Hope Church: Lane End. This special service takes place on the first Monday of every month and holds deep meaning for many of our residents. Together, we join in prayer, sing cherished hymns, and share a sense of peace and community. 💜

Beach Day Garden Party at Ridley Manor 🏖️
We had an absolutely fantastic time celebrating National Beach Day with a fun-filled garden party! 🌞
Residents, families, and staff enjoyed a day packed with games, sand, paddling pools, target challenges, sing-alongs, circus fun, and fabulous entertainment from Pinkys Parties. 🎉

The celebration continued with a delicious BBQ, ice cream trolley, refreshing cocktails, mocktails, and beer, followed by wonderful afternoon entertainment from the amazing Dave Dunbar. The sunshine stayed with us almost all day, making it a truly joyful occasion filled with laughter, fun, and togetherness.🍸🍻

One Team, One Family at Ridley Manor 💜

At Ridley Manor, every member of our team, from care staff to our general manager, takes time to connect with the residents. Our home manager has introduced a special “tools down”, where all staff pause their tasks to spend meaningful time together with residents. 💕
