I’m writing to you from India, nestled in the mountains of the Himalayas. After spending precious time with my teacher in Mysore, I’m now hosting our retreat here in Rishikesh — a place filled with magic and wonder.

It has been a beautiful week of sharing not only yoga, but also some of India’s ancient practices — honouring the elements and the Vedic wisdom that has been passed down through centuries in this sacred land.

I feel so blessed to be here once again, soaking in all that this place offers. And at the same time, I can’t wait to return home and share it all with you.

I’ll be back teaching from the 18th of March. Until then, Grace and Amanda will be holding the space and continuing to guide you.

We are very excited to host internationally renowned Ashtanga Yoga teacher, Ajay Kumar from , Mysore. He is an incredibly knowledgeable and gifted teacher, with a direct lineage to Krishnmacharya through his teacher BNS Iyengar.

Ajay has been teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Mysore, India for the past 20 years, and practicing for 30. He has the ability to work with a wide range of individuals, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. This workshop is open to all levels.

A few of our students have travelled to Mysore to practice with Ajay - and Emily and Vicky practices with Ajay regularly in Mysore and is so excited to be hosting him again in Amersham! This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn and practice Ashtanga yoga with a modern Indian Yoga teacher, steeped in the traditions of this practice.The weekend will include;

Led & Mysore self practice classes

Vinyasa (jump back and through) workshops

Backhanding Workshops

Vinyasa workshop

Q+A with Ajay (otherwise known as a Yoga Conference in Mysore)

Join me on the 10th of January for an exploration for Ashtanga ❤️

We will start with the primary series focusing on the breath and vinyasa count.

After this some yummy treats and a chance to ask some questions!

We will then do a yin yoga exploration- looking to how yin yoga can support our Ashtanga practice for both primary and intermediate series.

Finally, a good rest - shavasana 😴 🙏🏼
