Individuals with Learning Disabilities may have difficulty understanding information, learning new skills, communicating and living independently. It may take longer to develop new skills, understand some more complicated information and interact with other people. This is where Oak Lodge can help, offering a person centered approach and making sure you are 100% involved in planning your care. We

know that the level of support someone may need will depend on them as an individual, so we put a plan of action in place which has been chosen by you, based around you.

An external expert will guide us through understanding epilepsy, exploring seizure types, and learning about various medications, including VNS devices. Crucially, we'll gain hands-on experience and practice the safe and effective administration of Buccal Midazolam, ensuring we're fully prepared to support those who may need it in our centre. This vital session will enhance our knowledge and practical skills, ultimately improving the safety and care of our clients.
