Individuals with Learning Disabilities may have difficulty understanding information, learning new skills, communicating and living independently. It may take longer to develop new skills, understand some more complicated information and interact with other people. This is where Oak Lodge can help, offering a person centered approach and making sure you are 100% involved in planning your care. We know that the level of support someone may need will depend on them as an individual, so we put a plan of action in place which has been chosen by you, based around you.

Work is continuing on the kitchen and the side-opening oven has been installed to make it accessible for wheelchair users. The laundry room is awaiting its white goods. The hard-wearing vinyl has been selected for all these areas and is due to be delivered shortly. We have also taken delivery of our new entrance mat!

Oak Lodge, the skills hub for adults with additional needs based in High Wycombe, is relocating to expanded premises due to the closure of the Chilterns Centre for redevelopment.
The new location (still based in High Wycombe) will be a significant upgrade, offering a larger space to accommodate more individuals and provide an even wider range of activities. This expansion will allow us to continue to enhance our mission of promoting independence and life skills in a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment.
