My Story
My name is Michaela Weedon, I have set up a mobile business in the Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire areas. I qualified in Sports Therapy at Buckinghamshire New University in High Wycombe in 2018. However, I have been working within sports therapy for 8 years through college and a gap year.
I got into sports therapy myself through an accident I had when I was a child. I was playing football and landed really awkwardly on the ground after a harsh tackle. I was paralysed at 11 years of age, with all my hopes and dreams crushed for a short amount of time. I regained feeling and began to regain the confidence I once had, however I have never been able to overcome my sometimes crippling back pain as a result of this accident. 43% of the UK suffer from some sort of longstanding pain, as I fall within this bracket I want to do whatever I can to make a small dent into relieving or improving a person’s pain. It’s my life’s aim to help others like I was helped myself. Without the support of the medical team and the other practitioners since my accident I would not of lived at times a pain free life.
I am 24 years of age and overcome such adversities and would love to encourage others there is a life without pain. I so far have had a 100% success rate at relieving or improving my clients pain chronic or acute. From backs to shoulders, knees and feet, I have worked my hardest to try and get them to a better place in terms of their PAIN.
