Wellness Sanctuary - Bucks, Berks & Oxon Wellness Sanctuary is a well-being business offering retreats, workshops and 121s. The Short Version
I've always been interested in wellness.

And always looked for natural ways to nourish my body and mind to keep myself feeling positive, healthy and fit. My journey has been a long and winding road, with many twists and turns but my main focus and interest has always been Women's Wellness and longevity (living longer with emphasis on increasing health span as well as life span). I now run Wellness Sanctuary, a business focussed on creating and running wellness events and retreats in beautiful locations, mainly but not exclusively for women. These events focus on physical, mental and emotional health for women of all ages providing education and training on keeping ourselves healthy, happy and cognitively functional into our later years. Rewinding to many moons ago. My first love was Yoga, which I practised from a young age. Having been to stage school and enjoyed dancing and gymnastics, I found Yoga complimented and balanced my body and mind. Fast forward 30 years and i'm so pleased i made the investment in my health. I'm late 40s now and Yoga has kept my body flexible, strong, fit and healthy, it keeps my mind calm and balanced and Mindful meditation keeps me centred. I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2009, over a 3 month full-time immersion with internationally renowned Yoga teacher John Ogilvey, at the Byron Yoga centre. A centre of excellence for Yoga teacher training. My qualification reflects 500 hours focused, intense study but also many more hours spent perfecting the training and understanding more about Mindfulness meditation, which was my chosen area of speciality. I have travelled and worked overseas for a number of years , taking best practises from around the world, culminating in my teachings here, in the UK. With an interest in the human mind and body, it prompted my curiosity in other practices so i decided to complete a number of other studies and qualifications which i have honed over the years including:

* Mindfulness studies at the British Institute of Mindfulness

* Peri-Menopause and Menopause health

* Pelvic health focussed physical training

* Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

* Pilates Mat Work

* Thai Yoga massage

* Reiki Practitioner

* Buddist Scripture studies

This study has been complimented with many hours of reading, watching Ted talks, and informative documentaries and trainings and listening to podcasts on anything to do with the brain, the body and ageing. I am a little bit of a geek when it comes to holiday reading; instead of a romance novel i'll often have my nose buried into a book on the ageing brain, superfoods for vital health, fasting or the benefits of sleep! My approach is fun, open, informative and empowering, and I create safe and nurturing spaces for people to completely rest, relax and rejuvenate (and perhaps learn some skills and techniques along the way)

I offer:

- Women's Wellness Evenings, Retreats and workshops in the UK and overseas

- Peri-Menopause and Menopause Workshops and events

- General health and well being including Mindfulness meditation, NLP and breathing techniques to individuals, groups and corporate companies.

- Sports therapy (as seen on Sky Sports TV, and official Wycombe Wanderers Football Club trainer) - rehabilitation after injury or trauma.

-Restorative therapy for serious long term health issues such as Arthritis, Back/joint pain, MS, ME, Endometriosis, Anxiety and Depression. Bookings

Our Story

I’ve always loved Yoga, and practised from a young age. Having been to Stage school and enjoyed dancing and gymnastics, i found Yoga complimented and balanced my body and mind. Fast forward 30 years and i’m so pleased i made the investment in my health. I’m mid-40s now and it has kept my body flexible, strong, fit and healthy, it keeps my mind calm and balanced, and Mindfulness meditation keeps me centred.

I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2009, over a 3 month full-time immersion with internationally renowned Yoga teacher John Ogilvy, at the Byron Yoga Centre. A centre of excellence for Yoga teacher training. My qualification reflects 500 hours focused, intense study but also many more hours spent perfecting the training and understanding more about mindfulness meditation, which was my chosen area of speciality. I teach group classes, one to ones and also run mindfulness and positive psychology training for Corporate Businesses. I also consult on health and well-being in the work-place.

With an active interest in the human mind and body, it prompted my curiosity in other practices so i decided to complete a number of other studies and qualifications which i have honed over the years including:
