The Shrubbery The Shrubbery is a beautiful and characterful Residential Home, based in Higham Ferrers. We offer short-term and long-term residential care.

The Shrubbery is an excellent Residential Care Home offering residential and dementia care for the elderly, in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. We provide individual, person- centered care of the highest possible quality for all of our residents. We also provide respite care for the elderly when their careers may need a break. We have a total of 45 rooms in total which all have an ensuite toilet.

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating Burns Night
To mark the occasion, we filled the home with Scottish flags and enjoyed a full day of Scottish-themed activities, including quizzes, trivia and fun facts, crosswords, word searches, colouring pictures, Scottish-themed bingo, and a lovely armchair travel journey around Scotland 🗺️.
A real highlight was Andrew and his friends joining us to play live Scottish music, with Andrew treating everyone to the unforgettable sound of the bagpipes — a moment truly enjoyed by all 🎶🎶.
A short poem for the day:
O Burns, whose words still warmly flow,
Of love, of land, of long ago.
Your voice lives on in song and cheer,
In Scotland’s heart, year after year.
A fantastic celebration filled with music, memories, and plenty of Scottish spirit 💙
