Hinckley Counselling

Hinckley Counselling A local private counselling practice for men, women, children, teenagers and couples. Everyday people transform. Everyday people heal. Everyday people uplift.

My private counselling practice offers men, women, couples and children a tremendous service. Everyday they let go of pain. Everyday people astonish themselves! There's myself, Marina Broadley and some truly amazing Associate Counsellors and Therapists. I am blessed to be amongst them. Changing lives from the inside out...that's what we do. On the website you will find out about how I work, and the kind of help I offer. You will also find out about the Independent Associate Counsellors and Therapists, who they are, and how they can help you. Overall, this is where you begin to discover your much happier self. This is where you can relax and allow yourself to make a start. This is where you start to see that counselling and therapy changes lives. And so, I invite you to take some time out to read the website. It's so very different to all the others. My hope is that some of what I talk about relates to your everyday life and therefore strikes a cord. And in striking that cord I hope you will be inspired to take the initial steps to improving any aspect of your life. All sorts of people are actually using the counselling process right now to make extraordinary changes in their lives. You will have come here because you know you need to feel better. And, most importantly, you are ready to do something about it. Thank you for liking, sharing and supporting this page. You are appreciated.

The people we see in counselling are generally living in SOS survival mode.

On red alert, under stress, overwhelmed, in pain. They find it extremely difficult to relax, their sleep is poor, they are operating in overdrive.

Wracked with anxiety, trying to fight against burnout, stuck in grief, they just don’t know what to do.

The positive news is that the counselling process offers people the therapeutic space to recover.

Clients report changes in their ability to rest, often after their first session. Releasing emotions is essential for health and the body benefits on a very deep level.

If you’re living by the hormones of stress, whatever the circumstances, decide to do something about it.

Counselling works.

‘Men don't talk’?

Maybe they want to. But maybe it feels almost impossible.

So what happens? The hurt and disappointment and stress gets trapped inside. Blocked. And it backs up.

But, men who don't talk, do talk. That is, in their own way.

Perhaps they talk best when there is no agenda. No pushing. No talk of 'opening up' or 'healing'.

So be it. Men need to do it their way. As do we all.

Men can come and talk in their own sweet way... get some of that stress up and out. Its amazing what a difference it makes.

When you feel unhappy every season can bring up something that feels difficult or painful.

Winter can be both a relief and fearful - on the one hand you can hide away. Nobody in your face, people all out the way, indoors. On the other hand you can feel cut off and alone.

Spring can feel a pressure - you have to come out, face the world, be smiley, say the right things.

Summer can be hard - there they all are - out and about with their seemingly loving families, laughter and bbq-ing, photos of happy holidays in the sunshine.

Autumn may bring up anxiety - thoughts of long, lonely months, darkness and the dread of Christmas 'cheer' reappearing any day...

And on it goes. So spring is here. How do you feel this spring?

For many it’s a great feeling.

Also for many it’s a terrible dread. For these people they need their routine and their structure.

Things aren’t always straightforward.
