Today marks the spring equinox. The day and the night are equal length. In yoga, this is a time to rebalance. Sure, stand on one leg, that's one way to feel your balance. But also consider where the scales in your whole experience of life may need a little balancing out. Maybe you need to prioritise sleep or good quality rest? New research fascinates me - there's always something new to learn! This study found that microbes in your gut influence blood pressure and signal your heart to relax. In time this could make a big difference to treatment for heart conditions and high blood pressure.

I love this study. It challenges the stereotype of a fixed mindset as we grow older. Yes, you can change and grow at any age ✨🙌🎉🙏
The long-held belief that personality becomes “set in stone” after young adulthood is being challenged by new research. A comprehensive psychological study has found that older adults (ages 60–80) are just as capable of adopting new social and emotional behaviours as those in their twenties...the older group demonstrated even higher levels of engagement and commitment to the training, suggesting that motivation—not age—is the primary driver of personality growth later in life.

A new study shows that older adults can successfully change personality traits and socio-emotional skills through targeted intervention.
