Cognitive stimulation therapy offers a ray of hope for our loved ones facing memory and thinking challenges caused by dementia. These sessions, typically conducted in small groups by skilled professionals, aim to stimulate thinking and memory.

Alzheimer’s is the most common type of dementia, accounting for around 6 in 10 cases in the UK.

It affects memory, reasoning and daily life over time — but dementia and Alzheimer’s aren’t the same thing. Dementia is the umbrella term, while Alzheimer’s is one type within it.

🧠 Common early signs include forgetfulness, confusion, mood changes and difficulty with familiar tasks.
👵 Over 900,000 people in the UK are living with dementia today, a number set to rise to 1.6 million by 2040.
