Our Story

Tummy2mummy was founded in 2009 when midwives Donna Grant and Liz Yates opened the clinic after both working in Maternity hospitals and community areas for many years. In 2013 Liz decided to reduce her working hours and Donna took sole ownership of Tummy2mummy (Liz remains part of the Tummy2mummy team) We have a good working relationship with The Local Maternity Hospitals. We have a contract at Leicester to provide the antenatal parent craft services. With pathways for referrals to Coventry , Nuneaton, Warwick and other local Maternity Hospitals. We offer A Comprehensive Scanning Service, Antenatal and postnatal appointments, A Birth Partner Service and Antenatal Parent Craft Service. The service provided is aimed to enhance the women’s midwifery care and can work alongside the local hospital, GP and Community midwives service. Routine scans; antenatal and postnatal appointments within the NHS system will still be available to you. All our midwives, are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Where The Code of Professional Conduct ensures that we practice in a safe and professional manner. We all remain updated with current research based practice. Our Sonographers hold accredited qualifications in obstetric scanning and medical Ultrasound. We follow safety scanning guidelines that state the ultrasounds should only be performed by medical qualified professionals and not purely for entertainment purposes.

During your scan as practising midwives with many years of experience we will beable to support you with lots of useful information for your pregnancy and beyond.

The staff that work within Tummy2mummy that are not midwives are trained in health and social care, and all staff members are CRB checked. We are registered and follow the guidelines with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are insured with the Royal College of Nursing for our antenatal and postnatal services and hold Public liability insurance. Our clinics in Hinckley, Coventry and Leamington are comfortable settings, with seating for family and friends and large TV screens and projectors. We have wheelchair access and car parking facilities. Payment is by a deposit to secure and remainder payed by cash on the day of the appointment. It is our intention to portray a homely relaxed atmosphere during your appointments, welcoming family and friends to attend with you. Our philosophy is based on a commitment to pregnancy and birth as a normal life event; we are absolutely committed to recognising and respecting the rights and wishes of the individual woman and her family. A woman’s right of choice is at the very heart of our professional ethos.
