The Urgent Treatment Centre, formerly the Minor Injuries Unit, is for adults and children over aged one year and above.

It is run by our team of skilled emergency (nurse/paramedic) practitioners and doctors who can assess, diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses.

This is a walk-in service. We do not have an appointments system, although you can call 111 for advice and a time slot to attend.

Waiting times vary. We aim to see patients within four hours.

Coming to the Urgent Treatment Centre

Patients are encouraged to call NHS 111 before arriving at the Urgent Treatment Centre. They will be able to discuss your symptoms and let you know which service will be able to help you.
If you need to be seen at the Urgent Treatment Centre, NHS 111 can book you a time slot to attend. This can reduce the time you will have to wait to be seen.
NHS 111 can also advise you on self-care, arrange for you to see a community pharmacist (that can prescribe medications), help you make an appointment with a doctor/GP or direct you to the emergency department if Urgent Treatment Centre is not required.
Walk-in patients will be triaged and seen according to priority. We may redirect patients to alternative, more appropriate services within the community.
We are open from 8am every day. We close to walk-in patients at 4pm.
Our address is Haslemere Urgent Treatment Centre, Church Lane, Haslemere GU27 2BJ.
Waiting times at the Urgent Treatment Centre

We are a very busy unit and have recently transitioned to an Urgent Treatment Centre. We expect we will become more busy while we work to support a wider range of conditions, and we appreciate your support during this process. We aim to see patients all within four hours. Some patients may be redirected to more appropriate services within the community.

Do you know your blood pressure? Around a third of people in the UK have high blood pressure, and most don’t know it because it often has no symptoms.

The good news is that you can get your blood pressure checked for free without the need to book a GP appointment. Many GP surgeries in Surrey have self-service machines, and lots of pharmacies will happily carry out a quick check for you too.
