Springkell House Care Home Springkell House Care Home is a 34 bedroom residential care home located near Hindhead.

Offering person-centred care delivered by a team blessed with a deep understanding of the special requirements of our residents. Close to the world-famous area of natural beauty, the Devil’s Punchbowl, adjacent to the town of Hindhead in a part of Surrey known as ‘Little Switzerland’, Springkell House enjoys a stunning location, matched only by its reputation for the delivery of first class care. With well-established, mature gardens and grounds, the house itself has Victorian origins and while fully renovated and sympathetically refurbished, many of the original feature remain. Springkell House revels in a reputation as a ‘home-from-home’ property, with residents and their guests commenting on the friendliness of the staff in every department. Day care, respite care, convalescent care and palliative care are delivered by a team blessed with a sensitivity and deep understanding of the very special requirements of our residents, while sufferers of Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s disease are treated by our award winning medical and auxiliary teams. We specialise in dementia care and our home has been recognised as a finalist in dementia care award! Our treatment of neurological conditions has gathered praise from many quarters for its holistic, innovative and most importantly, effective delivery of exceptional results. The additional challenges presented by hearing impairment and deafness are handled by a patient staff well-experienced and highly trained in alternative methods of communication, skills that also benefit those residents with visual impairment. Springkell House offers a safe, secure and nurturing environment for residents with a range of conditions and as with every Beritaz Care property, we see the person not the condition.

We had a truly magical Christmas at Beritaz Care 🎄🎁⭐️

December was filled with Christmas-themed activities, community events, and many happy memories, all leading up to the wonderful Christmas Day festivities at our homes.

Thank you to everyone who helped us make this festive season so special for our residents. Our brilliant staff who spent December creating Christmas fun for all residents, the entertainers and local organisations who helped us to arrange some special festive activities, and of course, the friends and families who shared the festive season with us.

Our 2025 activities schedule was full of fun, favourite hobbies, and the chance to form new friendships. 📖 🎨🚐 The activities teams in our homes have worked incredibly hard over the past year to arrange a busy calendar of activities and events to appeal to everyone. From resident-led clubs and one-on-one sessions, to parties, themed activities, day trips in our new minibus, and special celebrations (including a few 100th birthdays). 🎂

Residents played a bigger role than ever in planning events, with feedback from home meetings helping us to shape monthly calendars and prioritise our residents’ favourite things. Wellbeing was a big focus within Beritaz Care in 2025, with fun armchair exercises, interactive games, and lots of opportunities to get active and socialise. 🎳🏓

Our team’s dedication was recognised across the board, with praise in independent inspections, including multiple CQC “Good” ratings, and some wonderful reviews from residents and their families. We were honoured to be finalists at the Surrey Care Awards and receive a Gold Investors in People accreditation. 🏆

Our residents recently started working on a fun new project with our wonderful Activities Coordinator, Roopa.

The residents are going to be working on their own autobiographies, telling their stories and documenting some of their favourite memories. 📖✍🏻 They have already made a start on their autobiographies; this will be an ongoing project that we are looking forward to continuing next year.

This activity will be fantastic for reminiscence and reflection for our residents, as well as a lovely opportunity to share happy memories from their lives. This has already been something residents have enjoyed working on, and we are glad to help them tell their stories in their own words. We can’t wait to read them!

Home improvements, smarter care, and planning for the future of Beritaz Care. ⭐️
2025 was a year of important progress for Beritaz Care. From implementing new technologies to enhance the care services in our nursing homes and residential care homes, to new internal systems to improve life for our care staff, and the launch of our new website. We also saw some exciting changes within our homes; rooms were decorated, facilities upgraded, and new welcoming communal areas for residents to enjoy, as well as the beginning of major development projects.

It’s Christmas party season 🎄🪩🥳 Last week, we held our annual staff Christmas party with staff from our fellow Surrey-based Beritaz Care homes.

We had a lot of fun celebrating Christmas and another successful year with our Beritaz Care colleagues. It is wonderful to close out the year as a team, dancing, laughing and having fun. 2025 has seen a lot of changes for the Springkell House team, but we are ending the year stronger than ever and excited to see what 2026 has in store. After a busy year, it was nice to let our hair down and ring in the festive season together, before celebrating Christmas with the residents at the home.

Celebrating a year of growth, care, and community at Beritaz Care. ⭐️ 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣⭐️

Read about some of our 2025 highlights in our latest blog post. This year has seen us welcome new residents and staff to our homes, support our team members to grow their skills, and continue to work closely with our local community.

In 2025, we embraced new technologies to help us enhance our nursing and residential care services, and expanded our activities programme with activities focussed around resident wellbeing.

We were proud to receive Gold Investors in People accreditation and see CQC inspection success for our homes, thanks to the hard work of our teams.

As we come to the end of another fantastic year at Springkell House, we wanted to show our appreciation to our brilliant team for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

In recognition of their commitment and 100% attendance during 2025, Jogi presented awards to Anand and Robi. Ashmita also received an award and Gold certificate for an incredible 100% attendance throughout 2024 and 2025. 🏆

We are very proud and grateful to our entire team for their passion and dedication to their roles and the home. It is their hard work which enables us to ensure our residents are cared for and happy all year round.

Earlier this week, we welcomed some special visitors to the home for a Christmas carol concert. 🎵🎄

The wonderful carol singers from St Alban's Church in Hindhead joined us to perform a special carol concert for our residents, right here at Springkell House. They were accompanied on the keyboard by Kevin Jacot, one of our favourite local entertainers and friend of the home.

The carol singing was fantastic, and our residents really enjoyed hearing the singers perform some of their favourite carols. They couldn’t resist joining in! 🎶😊 Along with the festive music, we enjoyed some mulled wine and mince pies, the perfect Christmas refreshments! 🍷

Thank you so much to the carol singers from St Alban's Church and everyone who joined us for this wonderful Christmas entertainment. We are incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a lovely local community who show so much support to our residents and the home.

Our residents had so much fun watching a Christmas pantomime last weekend at the Royal British Legion Club in Hindhead. 🎄🎭

A Christmas panto is the perfect festive activity, and we were delighted to join members of our local community for this brilliant performance. Our residents had a really good time watching the panto and enjoying some refreshments. Thank you to the Royal British Legion for hosting such a lovely pre-Christmas event.

⭐️ People told us they were happy living at Springkell House and felt it was a homely environment. People and their relatives described staff as being caring and kind. ⭐️

⭐️ The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity. ⭐️

⭐️ One person told us, “I’ve got a forever home now if I want it. I have no concerns at all.” ⭐️

⭐️ There was affection shared between people and staff such as holding hands and shared smiles when speaking together. ⭐️

⭐️ The provider focused on continuous learning, innovation and improvement across the organisation and local system. They encouraged creative ways of delivering equality of experience, outcome and quality of life for people. ⭐️

We are incredibly proud of the entire Springkell House team, it is thanks to their hard work, compassion, and dedication to care that we were able to achieve this assessment result.
