🌿Truth be told, I'm a tad envious every Friday when I prepare Tree Space for each weekend's guests ...
💚Envious of their opportunity to rest and reconnect with themselves, often with a loved one too, and with Nature.
🤔While connection is simply being in the present moment, quietening noise and patterns from the past, it does take reconfiguring.
⛰️ So this last week was my turn; rest and reconnection on magical Madeira, a little island west of Morocco. Its vertiginous black volcanic cliffs, which rise imposingly from the azure Atlantic, ensured its human free existence until the 1400s.
The cliffs give way to steep, terraced rich red earth hills dotted with banana and sugar cane plantations, and white houses with terracotta tiled roofs. Then mountains, alive with varied, verdant vegetation. Gazing upwards, scattered across this awe-inspiring tableau, water falls freely from in between the greenery.
🌀 Weather moves in and through the island constantly; the sunny southern side is sheltered by the mountains, in stark contrast with the moodier northern side where the weather arrives from, and where the rain falls. This mix is how the island can support life. All the weather and its hues are needed.
I was enchanted by the colours, the timelessness, the welcoming locals, the simple way of life and the island's pulsing heart.
I rested. I released. I reconnected with my essence. I enjoyed spending quality time with my family, savouring the opportunity to appreciate each other away from life's demands. I love that there's always something new to discover about someone.
🌳And it's always a Joy to return home to Tree Space and its pulsing heart; to resume hosting guests and working with my clients offering biodynamic therapy.
We have but one precious life and who knows what tomorrow brings; challenging though it can be, I believe making time for reconnection with yourself, your loved ones and nature are key; the way to acceptance. A life's work in my human experience🙏
With Love.
