Catherine initially studied for a degree in Physiology and then worked as a scientific researcher for an international pharmaceutical company, before commencing a masters degree in Audiology. Catherine qualified as an Audiological Scientist in 2003 and has sixteen years experience working within the NHS providing Audiology services to children and adults. Catherine has set up Herts Hearing Ltd in order to provide a high quality and bespoke Audiology service to the local population. Herts Hearing provides a superior level of individualised service, ensuring maximum benefit is achieved through hearing technology and other appropriate interventions. Microsuction is a gentle and effective method of earwax removal. Using a small suction device, your clinician carefully removes any earwax while viewing the ear through a head loupe ensuring full visibility of the ear canal at all times.

Afterward, you’ll be given clear advice on how to care for your ears. A tiny device gently suctions the wax from your ear canal. Unlike irrigation, it’s a dry procedure, meaning no water is used, so in most cases, softening drops aren’t needed beforehand.
