Parts of my 30s were tough: My beautiful mama’s cancer diagnosis, friendships breaking down, toxic relationships that left me not knowing who I was. I wish I could go back and give 30-year old Kate the benefit of the hindsight I have now.

I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that difficulties just make you appreciate what you have, and guide you to where you’re supposed to be. Family and good friends, who support you no matter what, are everything.

M E 🤓

I cannot explain the RELIEF I feel having completed the coursework for my Level 7 diploma. It has been a ridiculously big undertaking. Informal submission is next week, so I may well have to redo big chunks of it before formal marking, but I wanted to celebrate the milestone anyway!

To all of you who have offered support and a kind ear as I’ve moaned about my lack of life this past 9 months; all my patients who kindly rescheduled appointments with me so I could work on it; the fab team at who have put up with my requests for extensions due to my inability to say ‘no’ to other projects; and all my friends who I’ve hardly seen or spoken to for a year - a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU!

Regular scheduled social programming will resume shortly 😉

I’m off for a couple of weeks of much-needed RnR in beautiful Vietnam after an exhausting 6 months of coursework, book editing and rota writing. I know I have been really quiet on here - life has been a lot lately!

How gorgeous is this subtle but impactful little tweak? This beautiful lady is an aesthetic practitioner too, and it was such a pleasure to treat her.

Honestly, mid-facial dermal filler is one of my fave treatments to do, because it makes such a difference to the face but you can’t quite put your finger on what’s different… fresher, rejuvenated, but still you.

No pillow faces here.

💉 Treatment: Cheek enhancement with RHA 4 dermal filler
⏰ Time: One hour
⏳ Longevity: Lasts 6-18 months (or longer)
🫣 Discomfort: Minimal - Dr Kate uses strong numbing cream and local anaesthetic injections and keeps the number of injections to a minimum
🤕 Downtime: Initial swelling and bruising can occur
🪞 Results: Visible immediately, but allow 2 weeks to settle - the paleness of the skin here is due to the local anaesthetic cream

This gorgeous lady has suffered with awful rosacea for many years. It flares when she is stressed, and she has had plenty of that to contend with in recent times.

So, what did we do?
1. Stripped back her skincare to focus on barrier-repair and anti-inflammation.
2. Started a course of antibiotics.
3. Began gently introducing a fantastic acid-based regime (yes, acid!) to help calm the skin.
4. Then we switched her actives to a bespoke Klira Special prescription.

She’s been incredibly diligent with her routine, and her patience and dedication has paid off. We’re both delighted with these results, and the best bit is they’re just going to keep getting better!

What a whirlwind year it has been: Incredible highs flanked by serious lows.

Thank you, as always, to my beautiful patients - your trust and loyalty, kindness and patience after my injury, and unwavering support this year as I’ve worked so hard to grow my business, mean the world to me. I’m so grateful for every interaction and giggly treatment we have shared together. This year has left me feeling truly humbled.
