“I’m getting quite a deep sleep now, so I’m feeling more energised through the day.”

My client had been in pain for months following an operation.

It was keeping her awake at night.

She asked me to help with the night wakings.
And after just one session, this is what she told me. 👆

She’s even back to studying — something she hasn’t been able to focus on for weeks.

At our next appointment, we’ll work on reducing the pain itself.
Several of her health specialists have told her it’s something she’s fixated on.

“I don’t want sleeping pills to be an option anymore,” she said.
“I just want to fall asleep and stay asleep — naturally.”

So that’s what we did.

Three Zoom sessions, all from her own sofa.
One to resolve the “I can’t get to sleep” problem.
Two to tackle the “I keep waking up” problem.

And that was that.

She started feeling comfortable in her bed again.
Drifting off easily.
Sleeping right through the night.

We did it together —
me, her, and her subconscious mind.

That’s always how it works.
Because when the subconscious feels safe,
the sleep changes stick.

And the last time we spoke?
She was still sleeping soundly — all night.

Back in 2020 I had a vision...

to renovate this derelict space into my new reflexology treatment room.

It took the whole year. Whilst the world was weird.

But I was so determined to make it happen!

I'd already sat in the chair, and imagined how it would feel for my clients
to watch the trees in the breeze,
to feel hidden away from the world,
and listen to the sounds of the squirrels, birds, and rain on the roof

And now… it’s exactly as I imagined.
A calm little cocoon at the edge of town,
where people arrive heavy and leave light.

Every time I hear the rain hit that roof,
I remember what it took to get here —
and I wouldn’t change a thing.

P.S. It doesn't look like this anymore! 😆

Have you noticed? 👀

You always make your best decisions after a good night’s sleep.

There’s time for exercise,
soup trumps kettle chips for lunch,
and you actually say no to something you don’t want (thank you very much).

And on the flip side —
when sleep doesn’t happen like it’s meant to,

the snooze button wins over the gym,
wine beats kombucha,
and sleeping pills start looking oddly sensible.

There’s no judgement here. 🧡

The frustration comes when it doesn’t feel like you have a choice.
The night already made that decision for you by stealing your sleep.

Now you’re just getting through the day,
medicating your way back to normal.

The thing is, you already know those quick 'feel better' choices
are just survival dressed up as self-care.

They help for a moment,
then leave you right back where you started —
tired, wired, and wondering what happened to your willpower.
