🌺 New Pelvic Pain Workshop 🌺
🌼 1 in 7 women may experience persistent pelvic pain.
🌼 Pelvic pain refers to discomfort in the lower abdomen, below the belly button and between the hips extending to the upper thighs. In women, it can be related to the reproductive, urinary, digestive systems, or musculoskeletal causes.
🌼 Common causes include Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Fibroids, Pelvic Inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, UTI, Painful bladder syndrome, constipation and overactive pelvic floor leading to pain with intercourse.
🌼 Pain management strategies may include;
* Diet and lifestyle changes
* Pelvic floor physiotherapy including gentle movement and exercise
* Medications
* CBT
* Surgical interventions
