As we welcome a new year we hold space for every emotion it may bring.
For some, this time is filled with hope and fresh beginnings. For others, it carries the quiet weight of loss and the absence of someone deeply loved. If you are entering this New Year while grieving, please know you are not alone.
From all of us at County Funerals, we wish you a gentle 2026 filled with compassion, kindness and moments of peace.

Remember to be kind to yourself and give yourself time and if you need help there is support.
This week is Grief Awareness Week, and a chance to recognise how any type of loss can affect our wellbeing.
There’s no right or wrong way to feel — grief affects everyone differently.
If you're finding things difficult, there’s support that can help.
At County Funerals, we understand how difficult it can be to say goodbye.
As a local, family run funeral directors, we are here to support you with compassion, dignity and gentle guidance every step of the way.
Whether you are needing to arrange a simple, low cost farewell or a bespoke service that truly reflects the life of your loved one, our family is here to care for yours.

A modern family run funeral service, offering support and encouraging choice; giving families and friends the freedom to say goodbye the way they want to.
Family & friends know their loved ones better than anyone else and County Funerals can help you to plan a more individual and bespoke approach to funerals.
We are proud to offer funeral services with a difference. Everyone is individual; different in character, belief and lifestyle. So, in death their final send-off should be tailored to match their personality in life.
We have a number of alternative vehicles for your final journey and are more than happy to help you plan a funeral at a less traditional location. We have delivered final tributes at Santa Pod Raceway, Krispy Kreme Drive through, in a private house rear garden and a community hall, amongst others.
You can hold a funeral ceremony almost anywhere or even not at all – perhaps you’d prefer to create a celebration of your loved ones after cremation.
Whatever you decide, we believe that people should be able to have the funeral they want. Offering a personal approach to every family, we will listen and advise you honestly whilst explaining all your options in a straightforward way that enables you to make your choices.
We do not believe in adding unnecessary extras and will only provide you with the services you need and the services you choose.
It is our privilege to be able to take care of your loved ones when they pass and to guide you through each and every step of the journey
