Swipe through to read a testimonial from one of our amazing FM clients. A woman in her forties, mum of two, navigating recovery, confidence, and long term health alongside real life.

There’s no such thing as the “perfect time” to start.
Just the moment you decide you want to feel better, move better, and feel more like yourself again.

Stories like this are exactly why we do what we do at . Not quick fixes. Not rushing. Just patient, structured support that meets you where you are, whether that’s post surgery, managing a condition, rebuilding confidence, or simply finding your way back after a tough period.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence, feeling unsure, or thinking “that sounds great, but I don’t know if it’s for me”… this is your reminder that progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be life changing.

If you’re curious about starting your own journey, drop us a DM. We’ll talk it through, answer questions, and help you understand what the right first step looks like for you. No pressure, just support.

As we approach the halfway mark of January, you might still be sitting on the fence about starting your health journey for 2026. And honestly, we get it. It’s easy to feel hesitant, to keep putting it off, or to already feel deflated because you haven’t started yet.

Here at in Hitchin, we don’t focus on quick fixes or short term goals. We’re a private personal training studio where you work one to one with a coach, focusing on long term health in a calm, supportive environment. We’re also just a short walk from the train station and town centre, so getting here is simple.

Many of our clients come to us with pain they’ve been living with for a while, injuries they’re recovering from, day to day movement struggles, or simply low energy and low motivation. Starting doesn’t mean doing everything at once. It just means taking the first step in the right direction.

If this sounds like you, drop us a DM and we’ll happily have a chat. No pressure, just guidance and a clear place to start. We look forward to hearing from you.

Andrea, Philip and Charlie ☺️ (and Rosa!)

This is Philip, one of our coaches here at . We really believe in helping people find the right coach for them, so here’s a little round up of what he’s been up to and a bit of background. Swipe through to find out more 👈🏽

For those who don’t know him, Philip has the most experience out of all of us here at FM. He’s been in the industry for over 20 years, is a yoga teacher, practices meditation, and is the more spiritual one in the studio.

Years ago, Philip was told he would need a double hip replacement. Instead, he took the time to understand his body, train smart, and rebuild. Fast forward to now and he’s not only pain free, he’s training for his first HYROX in Manchester.

A good reminder that long term progress doesn’t come from rushing or pushing through pain. It comes from patience, consistency, and learning how to move well. More from Philip coming soon.

If you would like to find out more about our 1:1 PT sessions please drop us a DM with any questions you may have.

Rosa Dog Cam 😂
A big part of studio life and the FM family. We got curious about her point of view… so naturally, we dog-cammed her 😂

If you’re starting your fitness journey, or thinking about getting back into training, the first stage here at The Ferraro Method is our screening process.

It’s a calm, one to one session where we take the time to understand how your body moves, any pain or injuries, and what your starting point really is. No rushing, no pressure, just getting a clear picture so everything that follows is right for you.

Here’s Andrea talking you through what to expect and why we do it this way.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
Recovering from injury can feel overwhelming, especially when pain starts to take over day to day life. This is one client’s experience of working with Charlie after a back injury, and how taking things slowly and properly made all the difference.

“I started working with Charlie in February, after herniating my L5–S1 disc the August before. I had been in a lot of pain due to sciatic nerve impingement and muscle spasms, with no idea how to manage the pain.

I spotted a Ferraro Method flyer in a local coffee shop and reaching out to the team was the best thing I did for my injury. Charlie was incredibly supportive from the start and we slowly re-built my movement, strength and mobility.

I noticed the difference in my pain levels almost immediately, the movements were helping massively. He spent a lot of time working on my programme and adapted our plans in line with the recovery of my injury.

I was completely pain free within a few months, which enabled me to re-start running and rugby, not to mention work without constant pain and enjoy my weekends again. I still work with Charlie for strength and conditioning alongside my other sports, as a preventative and strengthening measure going forward.”

If you’re dealing with pain or recovering from an injury and unsure where to start, drop us a DM or get in touch via our website. We’ll always start with an assessment and help you understand what your body needs, no pressure, just the right guidance.

Meet Rosa… Our loveable gym dog and usually the first thing you’ll meet when you walk through the door. She spends her days lying quietly, watching everyone train, offering silent encouragement… and popping up for the occasional fuss.

Why do we have a gym dog?
Because Rosa adds to our space. Our clients love her (even those who were initially not so keen on animals).

Training is important to us, but it doesn’t need to feel scary or serious all the time. Having a calm dog around can help people feel more relaxed, more at ease, and less intimidated in new environments. Plus a familiar, friendly presence can lower stress, ease nerves, and make walking through the door that bit easier… especially if gyms haven’t always felt welcoming in the past.

And honestly… Rosa is just a big, fluffy, gentle pup who makes the place better and a big part of the Ferraro family 🐾

Hello 2026 👋
If you’re thinking about personal training as you start the year, and you’re not quite sure where to begin, here’s a little insight from one of our clients to show you what The Ferraro Method is all about.

It’s not about quick fixes or throwing yourself into the deep end. It’s about taking the time to understand your body, training at the right pace and working towards long term health in a calm, supportive space.

We’ll let our clients words do the talking…

Couple - mid 50s+

“From the moment I met Charlie I knew we were going to be in good hands. My husband had been diagnosed with a neurological condition and needed to strengthen his core and leg muscles to improve his balance. To support him I agreed to start coming to the gym as well. The diagnosis had been a huge shock for us both and we were not experienced gym users - we felt daunted at the prospect. We needn’t have worried at all!

Charlie assessed our needs very thoroughly and spent time talking to us about what we really wanted to achieve. We met Andrea (and Rosa too!) and embarked on a weekly programme of tailored exercises. These were challenging at first but with their great encouragement we now look forward to coming every week. The physical progress is clear - we both feel much stronger and fitter. It may sound corny to say it - but this gym feels so much more than a gym - it is a team of people supporting us and cheerleading us as we navigate this next stage in our lives. Excellent knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement and always a warm welcome.

We can recommend without hesitation!” 🙏

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas 🎅🏾
We hope you all get the rest, reset and downtime you need… and maybe a little Limoncello along the way 🍋😉

It’s been an amazing first year here at The Ferraro Method and we honestly can’t thank you enough. We truly appreciate every single one of you who’s walked through the door, trusted us with your training, and become part of the studio along the way. It really does mean a lot.

A little reminder that members still have access to use the gym as and when they need over the festive period, and we’ll be fully back in the New Year, ready to go again.

Have a good one,
Andrea, Charlie, Phil… and of course Rosa!

NEW! Small group training at The Ferraro Method
We’re known first and foremost as a private one to one studio, and that hasn’t changed. Personal, bespoke coaching will always be at the heart of what we do here.

That said, we know that for some people, training alongside a small group can be a really effective way to build consistency and confidence, as long as it’s done properly.

Our group training is intentionally limited.
Maximum four people per session.
Three coached sessions per week.
A structured eight week programme that blends strength, cardio and mobility.

This isn’t loud, rushed or generic. It’s calm, coach led training with the same attention to movement, technique and progression you’d expect from our one to one work, just shared with a small group.

If you like the idea of training with others but still want guidance, structure and a quieter environment, this could be a good fit.

As always, the best place to start is with an assessment so we can point you in the right direction.

Drop us a DM if you’d like to know more. 💪🏽
