Dan Gaze is a former prisoner, teacher, and assistant headteacher who founded the Dan Gaze Support Service to help struggling young people. He turned his life around after negative experiences, including expulsion from school and a prison sentence, to become a role model and mentor using his life experiences and passion for sport. His work involves mentoring, problem-solving, and providing support to young people in the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire areas, and he has also written an autobiography titled Bouncer Prison School.

Personal Journey:
Gaze had a troubled childhood, was expelled from school multiple times, and spent time in prison for actual bodily harm in 2002.
Educational Career:
He trained as a teacher and worked for 12 years at The Falconer School in Bushey, eventually becoming Assistant Headteacher, where he used sport to help students with Special Educational Needs.
Founder of Support Service:
After leaving his teaching position, he established the Dan Gaze Support Service to offer free mentoring and guidance to young people facing difficulties.
Using Sport for Guidance:
He believes in the power of sport to teach young people about self-esteem, teamwork, and to serve as an positive outlet for managing emotions and behavior.
Book and Public Speaking:
He has written an autobiography, Bouncer Prison School, to share his story and raise funds for his support service. He also shares his experiences as a guest speaker at events like the Hertfordshire Police event, "Lives Not Knives".
Community Recognition:
His efforts to support young people have earned him local awards, including being named a Hotspur Hero by Tottenham Hotspur.
