Mother’s Day is officially live and wow… it has gone OFF with a bang. This is our best seller so far, with over five times more orders than any other option.

My phone hasn’t stopped pinging and I’m honestly so grateful. Last year, Mother’s Day was absolutely manic and I’d only been open four months. So this year, I’m expecting things to be a little more manic and I’m so excited for it.

All delivery and collection times are available on the website as drop down options. The only change is that, due to being mid house renovation, all collections will be from Pirton instead of Letchworth. Deliveries will still be running in full swing, with everyone I know helping out, even if my own house is basically a shell by then 🤣

Something that could be scrolled past in seconds as “just pretty flowers” actually holds a much deeper meaning.

So this morning there was a segment on a popular breakfast TV show about supermarket flowers & basically promoting them on Valentine’s Day.

Since then, I’ve seen loads of florists annoyed that local independent florists didn’t get a mention.

Me? Not bothered. At all.

I’ve got absolutely no issue with supermarket flowers. I actually think it’s really important that flowers are affordable and accessible. Love shouldn’t come with a minimum spend.

Supermarket flowers are cheaper than what I buy in from a wholesaler because they’re a different grade and quality. And that’s fine. They still make people smile.

I even ask my partner to get me supermarket flowers. I don’t want him paying florist prices for something I can do myself. He’s a gas engineer. I wouldn’t pay someone else to change my radiator. Same logic.

I don’t see flowers as competition. I see them as… flowers.

If a bunch from anywhere makes someone feel loved, thought of, or special, that is bloody fantastic in my eyes.

That’s it, really. That’s my whole opinion.
That there’s room for everyone. 💐
