I know I’ve gone a bit quiet on here this week and I just wanted to say sorry and remind you all I’m still here🤍

It’s been one of those weeks where life behind the scenes has needed a bit more of me than usual. When you run a small business, especially one that’s so personal and hands-on, sometimes things have to slow down in one area to keep everything else going.

I’m still here, still creating, and still pouring everything into your flowers, even if I haven’t been as present online.

This week I had the absolute privilege of creating something truly special🍎🥒🥕🥦🍅

A ‘DAD’ funeral tribute, but designed in a way that felt far more personal than tradition. Instead of flowers, this piece was thoughtfully created using fruit and vegetables to reflect who he was, his life, and the little details that made him, him.

It’s always an honour to be trusted with something so meaningful, but pieces like this stay with you. They tell a story, spark memories, and feel incredibly personal in a way words sometimes can’t.

I’m so proud to have been part of this tribute and to have created something that truly reflected him 🤍

The response has honestly blown me away. I’ve had over double the amount of people interested than I actually have spaces available… which means I think we’re gonna have a repeat of Christmas wreath workshops🫣.

So here’s your little heads up before Friday evening 👀

I’ll be releasing details for a limited Easter workshop where you’ll create your own living wreath from scratch. Think fresh, seasonal, full of life… something you can hang on your door and actually watch grow 🌱

It’s perfect if you’ve been craving a bit of “me time”, want to try something new, or just fancy getting creative in a really relaxed, feel good setting.

Mother’s Day has brought lots of new faces to my page so if you’re new here… hi and welcome.

I’m Athena, the face behind H in Bloom. I’m predominantly a funeral florist, creating meaningful tributes that help families say goodbye in a way that feels personal and special.

Alongside that, I also design bouquets and floral arrangements all year round for birthdays, celebrations and just because moments.

I don’t have a shop front. Instead I work from a studio which allows me to keep my overheads low and my prices as affordable as possible for my customers.

I have two little boys whose names both begin with H (hence H in Bloom). The name represents them growing, blooming and becoming the gorgeous boys they are today… even though they seem to grow up far too quickly.

I’m the only person behind H in Bloom, so every message, consultation, design, bouquet, tribute, delivery and late night admin session is done by me.

My style is modern, personal and thoughtful. I love creating flowers that feel a little different and that really mean something to the person receiving them.

I cover the local area including Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Stevenage, some areas of central beds and beyond.
