April 11th was World Parkinson’s Day and it is an important opportunity to help raise awareness of the challenges people with Parkinson's can face day to day.
Parkinson’s doesn’t just affect movement. It can impact memory, mood, sleep, and confidence, making everyday tasks feel overwhelming. And while symptoms progress over time, the right support can make a real difference.
For our carers, that means patience, understanding, and adapting care to each individual, helping with mobility safely, supporting communication, and being mindful of emotional wellbeing.
Small, compassionate actions at home can protect dignity, reduce anxiety, and truly improve quality of life. Let’s continue to raise awareness and deliver care that really matters.
