After working closely in care settings and personally supporting my father-in-law in his final months, I’ve witnessed something both profound and gentle: the power of Reiki in end-of-life care.
Reiki brings comfort, stillness, and presence to those nearing the end of their journey — particularly those living with dementia or in palliative stages. It’s not about curing or changing outcomes. It’s about easing discomfort, softening fear, and allowing for a peaceful, supported transition.
When my father-in-law passed late last year, he did so without pain, without panic. Just calm. His body softened, his breathing was peaceful, and those present — nurses included — commented on the stillness in the room. That moment stayed with me. It affirmed how powerful this work can be, not just for the individual, but for the family witnessing that moment of passing.
I now offer Reiki sessions for end-of-life and dementia care, both in person and remotely depending on the need and location.
If you work within a care setting, support families, or know someone who might benefit, I’d be honoured to connect and discuss how this gentle approach can bring comfort to those who need it most.
Please feel free to message me directly.
Warmly,
Marina
