Lesley our amazing volunteer has changed a few of our display boards at The Harbour Club this week. Our Autumn frame is now filled with Firework pictures we created last week. Just in time for Bonfire Night. We’ve even got our own bonfire on the front. Lesley also removed a few leaves from our big display tree, to replicate the trees outside & decided to add our 2 mosaic Robins to the scene, as they’re so lovely & perfect leading into the Winter.🥰

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our minibus es**rt team. This job is to support our members on our minibus to & from the club. The role is there to assist members from their homes onto & off the bus, chat to them on the bus journey, support the minibus driver with route planning. The hours available are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 15.30 - 17.30. Hourly rate of pay. Please contact the club & ask for Fran on 01702 232068 to discuss.

So grateful for the very kind donation from Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill the money will be used to purchase new benches for our outside area. Thank you so much 🌻

£10K GIVEAWAY -

On Monday evening, the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill gave away £10,354 to local charities based in Hockley, Rayleigh and Hullbridge, which are the areas where the Rotary Club raises its funds.

Following much publicity surrounding the Club’s ‘Local Community Support Grants’ initiative, many charities applied for a grant.

25 were chosen, ranging from ‘Young Carers’ and ‘Memory Lane Cafe’ to the ‘Todman Centre Age Concern’ and ‘Home Start’ (which supports families struggling with bereavement, isolation and post natal depression).

Ian Reading, retiring President of the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill said: "It’s an honour to be able to plough the funds we raise back into the areas from which they came. Local residents need help from the local community more than ever before."
