Namaste Specialist Dementia Care at Belmont View

At Belmont View we are really proud to offer a specialised Namaste Care programme for residents living with advanced dementia or receiving end-of-life care. This gentle, sensory-based approach focuses on enhancing wellbeing through meaningful daily experiences.

Our dedicated Namaste service ensures all residents—whether mobile or receiving bed care—can benefit from themed activities such as garden, seaside, reminiscence, spa, pet therapy, arts and crafts, and more. Sessions include a rich mix of sensory items, from tactile fabrics and lighting to fragrances, music, and themed refreshments. Virtual reality is also used to create immersive experiences.

The programme is delivered by a trained team led by a Namaste Manager who is also an End of Life and Skincare Champion. Monthly reviews ensure the programme is continually tailored to residents’ needs.

Namaste Specialist Dementia Care at Belmont View has had a noticeable impact—improving appetite, mobility, and social interaction, while strengthening the bonds between staff and residents through truly personalised, compassionate care.
