LCFC v PNE

Being at the football got me drawing comparisons between a football team and us as humans.

I have a strong connection to my football team, it mattered today, I felt the emotions. But the players are all different since I last went, the manager is different, the stadium and location is different from when I was a season ticket holder.

And yet, it’s still my club.

But it's the essence of the team, the soul of the club that is the true football club. That is what I am connected to despite years of not attending.

Humans also have this transient, ever changing nature. We move locations, we change our appearance, we keep or let go of old habits, and welcome new beginnings.

But the soul and true essence remains.

Final refurbishment of the hall is happening..

🪑Chair yoga🪑

Classes on as normal this half term week of 16th Feb - except for Longton due to hall refurbishments.

Anyone wanting to try my classes for the first time, please come along, no need to book. It's pay as you go - £7 for the classes, either cash or bank transfer please.

The classes are welcoming and friendly suited to all abilities and fitness levels...we offer gentle, accessible movement plus relaxation and mindfulness.

📢LONGTON CHAIR YOGA📢

❌Cancelled class this week and next week❌
(Thursday 12th and 19th)
There is NO CLASS due to hall refurbishments

There is the option of Penwortham at Galloways (Thursdays 9.45-10.30) as an alternative, but please let me know if you plan on attending so I can have an idea on numbers).

There will be a further cancelled class in the near future. But we return as normal on 26th February after this closure.

Anyone new who would like to attend one of my chair yoga classes, you are most welcome. There is no need to book and the classes are £7 each, pay as you go, cash please or bank transfer.

Last class today Darwen Leisure Centre.

Life took a devastating and unexpected turn, and I had to make a tough choice to hand over my Sunday morning class.

I've loved every moment teaching yoga to this wonderful group for 16 months, and it won't be easy to say goodbye.

The support and gratitude I've received have been heartwarming, and I'm so thankful for the thoughtful cards and gifts.

I'll miss this class dearly and hope to cover occasionally. 🙏💕

All classes are very welcoming and we are always happy to welcome new faces.

All classes offer gentle, accessible movement while seated, with a focus on mindfulness and breathing — perfect if you’re looking to move safely, improve mobility, or simply bring some calm to your week.

💷 £7 per class, pay as you go.

No experience needed — just come as you are.

Oh how excited I was when I found this picture for 75p in a charity shop (minus the frame, that's mine).

I haven't been able to get cold swimming / dipping in the last month or more. Although my tub is now set up, so no excuses! But it's far better in open water than a tub!

As many of you know I have had a recent devastating loss in my life.

Things become numbed in grief. It feels harder to feel the highs and lows and the in between.

I've been craving ways to feel.

Today I cleaned out my dipping tub and tonight I felt. I felt the cold and I felt ALIVE.

We have settled in nicely to our new venue at Galloway's in Penwortham.

So very grateful for all the lovely yogis who come and join me every week.

It's 9.45-10.30 every Thursday (except Xmas and New Year's Day! 😉)
