πŸ“’ Important Update: Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) Weight Loss Injections

We’ve received a high volume of enquiries recently following media coverage of Mounjaro (Tirzepatide). Please note that this treatment is currently not available for prescribing by GPs, and we are awaiting further guidance from our ICB (Integrated Care Board).

πŸ” Eligibility Criteria (for future consideration):
To be considered for treatment when available, patients must meet all the following:

βœ… BMI over 40
OR
BMI over 37.5 for individuals from South Asian, Chinese, other Asian, Middle Eastern, Black African, or African-Caribbean backgrounds
βœ… Completion of at least 2 years in a Tier 2 weight management programme
βœ… At least 4 out of 5 of the following conditions:
β€’ Hypertension
β€’ Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
β€’ Obstructive sleep apnoea
β€’ Dyslipidaemia
β€’ Type 2 diabetes

⚠️ Access will be subject to ICB Prior Approval. This medication cannot be prescribed on request or without proper assessment.

πŸ“ž Please do not contact the practice to request Mounjaro at this time. We will reach out to eligible patients directly once guidance is received.

❌ If you do not meet the strict criteria, appointments to discuss weight loss injections will not be booked.
