🍸🎤1960’s Day☮️🍹
Taking a break from our Armchair Travel days the resident’s having been choosing a decade to celebrate each month. Today we celebrated the 1960’s and it had to be our best Decades Day yet!
We started off in the morning reminiscing about what everyone was up to in the 60’s, watching a ‘The Way We Were in the 1960’s’ DVD and browsing through pictures and our new 60’s scrapbook.
In the afternoon we picked up the pace with Martin putting on a concert for our ‘booze and tattoos’ afternoon!
Residents enjoyed a menu of cocktails and mocktails, lots of fun photo props and the chance to get a tattoo, albeit a temporary one, while singing along to some of the best hits from the Swinging Sixties!!
We have all had such a fantastic day! A big thank you to Martin for singing, to the night team for decorating all of our lounges and dining rooms, to the lifestyles co-ordinators Kayleigh and Sapphire for bringing the day to life and to the team for their efforts with dressing up today! And of course, our thanks go to our amazing residents for coming along, getting involved and having fun 🤩🍸🎤🍹🪩☮️🎶😍
