Those living with us as well as their loved ones have come together to make a festive pompom wreath to promote more...creativity! We all had a blast chatting to each other and recalling fond memories of how we would make pompoms as kids and cant wait to see our wreath showcased in our home!

In this week's installment of Baking Club at the Westbourne, those living with us took part in festive mince pie making! Those living with us had so much fun using more...creativity to design their own personalised mince pies, providing everyone with laughter and a fun-filled atmosphere! We then baked each individual pie, to which we gifted back to everyone, so they could enjoy the delicious fruits of their creative labour!

Those living with us participated in balloon tennis; we worked together as at team throwing the balloon around to each other. It became very fun and competitive, as we worked together to try to keep the ball in the air for the longest stretches of time. There was a lot of laughter and everyone was all over the place as we engaged in more...movement!

Those living with us have wasted no time jumping right into the festive spirit! We all gathered together, and sang along to some carols while we began decorating for Christmas. Hope and Georgina got everyone laughing when they began the festivities dressed as Santa and his very best elf Twinkletoes III.

Here at the Westbourne, we simply can't wait to begin all of our Christmas fun so keep your eyes peeled for more...

Recently we held a 70's road trip themed bake sale to raise money for BBC Children in Need. We took part in the challenge yourself to 25 task by baking 25 cupcakes in various unique and delicious flavours! We thank everyone who contributed and came together to raise money for such a meaningful cause!

Here at The Westbourne we have lots of chocolate lovers, but Kenny especially.

Our dementia Ambassador took the opportunity to take Kenny to the local shop to purchase all the chocolate his heart desires! They even picked up some extra's for the other residents and staff. They enjoyed a lovely walk watching the leaves fall from trees.

The Westbourne continue to maintain good connections with our local communities.... we've had a lovely morning watching ...

Incredible acting and singing experienced that had every single resident and staff member smiling all the way through!

This morning Red engaged in more...fresh air as he took an adventure out around Holmes Chapel with his son. Spending time and bonding meant the world to Red and getting a hot chocolate was certainly an added bonus! Together we reminisced on life and the many cherished memories they share with one another!

Those living with us had a fantastic afternoon singing, dancing and enjoying a performance from the lovely Belle Aria. Her setlist had songs for everyone to enjoy and catered to all their different musical tastes. Those living with us engaged in more...connection as they all gathered around to enjoy every second of her performance and we were all certainly enthralled by her talent and cannot wait to see her again!

Remembrance Day is a very meaningful day to those living with us and we wanted to honour this day with the utmost respect and gratitude for those who have fought for our country and to the lives lost from war.

We watched the Remembrance Day procession as we worked together to create poppy art as well as a sand art commemoration poster. Those living with us are proud to decorate our home with the pieces they have created!
