📢 Important Update for Our Patients

We’d like to let you know that we will be changing our clinical system from EMIS Web to SystmOne in June.

This change is part of ongoing improvements to enhance the way we manage patient records and deliver our services. During the transition period, there may be some temporary disruption as we navigate our new system, but we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.

What this means for you:

If you currently use Patient Access, you will need to switch to the NHS App, as Patient Access is not supported by SystmOne. To switch to the NHS app, please follow this link. https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/setting-up/

We’d like to let our patients know that our surgery will soon be moving to a new electronic patient record system, SystmOne.

This change will bring significant benefits for both patients and staff, helping us to improve efficiency, enhance communication, and provide an even better standard of care.

During the transition period, there may be some temporary disruption to our services. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding while we make this important improvement.

We also encourage all patients to register for the NHS App if you haven’t already done so. The NHS App allows you to order repeat prescriptions, view your medical records, and manage appointments quickly and easily.

If you continue to use Patient Access, please be aware that your account may need to be reconfigured once the new system is in place, which could result in temporary delays in access.

TRAINING DAY
The practice will be closed from 1pm today for practice staff training. Please note our phone lines are off for the afternoon. Pre-booked appointments will still be going ahead.
If you need to speak to a GP urgently please ring 111 and for emergencies please ring 999.
The practice will re-open tomorrow at 8am.

We are currently inviting eligible patients to book their COVID-19 vaccination.

You are eligible if you are:
• Aged 75 years or over
• A resident in a care home
• Aged 6 months or over and immunosuppressed

🥫 FOOD BANK SUPPORT 🥫

Did you know we have a food donation basket in our reception?
Each month, we make a donation to the Full Life Church Food Bank to help support those in need.

The food bank has been running for several years, providing essential support to individuals and families in our community.

They welcome donations of long shelf-life items such as:

Soup
Pasta sauce
Tinned tomatoes
Tinned beans/spaghetti
Tinned meat and fish
Tinned vegetables
Tinned fruit
Biscuits, snack bars, etc.
Tea bags and coffee

If you or someone you know needs support, food can be collected directly from Full Life Church. If getting out is difficult, they can also arrange home delivery.

Many of you will already know Dr James Ward, who has been serving the Oaklands community for over 20 years. We’re delighted to share that he will now be joined in partnership by Dr Euchael Davidson, Dr David Shutt (already a partner at Slaithwaite Health Centre), and Dr Almas Kaleem.

From a patient care perspective:
