When there is something BIG in your life, taking over your head, your time and your space, how do you rest between the next push?

Maybe you are preparing to launch your birds off to uni or a new job or other move that takes them away from home. Could it be a waiting game for health test results or treatment? Are you or a loved one going through surgery or treatment? Are you grieving? Do you have an ongoing project or projects, a looming deadline, a seemingly far out of reach unknown end date, a house move? How do you pause and recalibrate?

I have been quiet of late in my business, distracted by an exciting but overwhelming house project AND drawing to the close of a course I have been working on to offer more indepth support for my clients for fertility and general reproductive system health.

Both projects are intensifying at the same time and my head, my time and my space are 90 per cent taken up by both. I am hoping that my case study reports, at least, will be ready and posted off for marking before the weekend and I can relax and enjoy the Autumn Equinox with that goal behind me and enter the next quarter anew.

This week I have savoured the moments where my focus has been distracted momentarily by something beautiful and grounding. This one plant, a thistle globe, in the garden, attracting the most beautiful of insects, in this one space in time and forever embedded in my mind. A moment of calm. A meditative safe space to return to and to breathe.

Don’t forget, I am here to support you with the wonder of reflexology, through all your BIG things, to help you relax, release the tensions you hold in your mind and body, and feel restored to forge ahead. And in between times, I encourage you to take a moment to enjoy the stillness and beauty of nature to help bring you back to balance. Or find what works for you. It is important to notice, to take a moment, to breathe. 💚

Taking your basal body temperature when trying to conceive is the best way to determine accurate an ovulation point, particularly when you have a shorter or longer cycle than what is said to be the average 28 days. To find out more follow Association of Reproductive Reflexologists

Taking your temperature every morning might seem small, but it can have a big impact when you are trying for a baby.

Your Basal Body Temperature changes through your cycle. Tracking it before you get out of bed can reveal when you are ovulating.

One woman we worked with started charting her BBT alongside weekly reflexology. After 18 months of trying, her cycle became more regular and she conceived within 8 months. She is now a mum to a healthy baby girl 🥰

Sometimes, simple daily habits can lead to life-changing results.

I can honestly say, as I’m using this product myself, that since applying it to my feet each night I have not wakened in the night, as I had started to do recently. Hope I haven’t jinxed it! 😀 but I’ve had the best consecutive nights sleep in a very long time, and this is the only change I’ve made.💚

Wow, what a fabulous day! First of all, thank you to for introducing me to the event - The Health and Menopause Live 2025 organised by .menopausecoach
You managed to get me over my phobia and to a proper networking event for the first time in over 16 years! 🤣🙌
Of course, there was a big draw for me, the topic being menopause! Close to my heart for my own time of life and also to support my clients through
BUT I wasn’t expecting such a perfect combination of educational expert teachers and advocates, for where my current passions lie in the support of women’s health. Debilitating painful periods!
In the breaks I managed to meet and speak to two of the speakers:
1. raising awareness of endometriosis and offering support (I cannot wait to share with my clients, family, friends and colleagues) ; and
2. .wolstenholme educating children and young adults (and older adults) about their reproductive systems -
so that we can all be informed and know what is normal and what is not, so we can better look after our own health and be properly informed so we can fight for the best health care - armed with the information we need to ask the right questions.
And, apart from the health of me and my own family, invaluable information to help me better support my clients through reflexology and point them in the right direction for additional holistic care and support.
And how lucky was I to spend the day with the ladies with me in the last photo - fabulous menopause coaches and and amazing fitness coach 🤩🤩🤩

As part of the campaign for Sustainable Healthcare Day that took place on 6 April, the Integrated Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) - which includes CNHC as an Associate Member - want to give you some tools that could help. In fact, they’re going to give you one tip a week to try for a year.

This is tip number 2:
How much water and other fluids do you drink each day? If you’re one of those people who goes through the day and gets so wrapped up doing things that you forget to drink, then take this opportunity to make keeping hydrated an integral part of your day. Whilst the NHS recommends you drink around 6-8 240ml glasses a day, or about 2 litres, other experts say that it’s better to trust your own thirst mechanism, and don’t ignore it when it tells you that you are thirsty. After all, we’re all individuals with different lifestyles and needs, which vary depending on factors like activity level, climate, and overall health. What is sure is that water in the body is essential to ensure that all bodily functions are able to take place as normal - regulating body temperature; keeping joints lubricated and skin healthy; preventing infections; delivering nutrients to cells and keeping organs functioning properly, and so much more. Studies have also shown that being well-hydrated improves sleep quality, cognition and mood.

Why not start by keeping a water diary, and see how much fluid you actually drink during the day. Then you can start to build keeping yourself hydrated into your everyday routine. There’s no excuses with this one, it’s easy to do, and vital to help your body function properly.

Follow the IHC campaign over the coming year to help you sustain your health and wellbeing,. We’d love you to share your own tips too. Tell us what you do in the comments below, and maybe it’ll help someone else to improve their health and wellbeing.

Let’s improve our health together.
