At ST Anne’s we know the importance of promoting dignity in care at all times , we ensure our staff are trained and have the relevant
Knowledge and skills to promote this when they are assisting our lovely residents with their person care needs , ensuring their care is person centred . Here are some of the benefits in promoting this practice and why it is so important -

Boosts well-being: Feeling valued increases self-esteem, confidence, and overall happiness, improving mental health.
Enhances quality of life: Respectful care leads to more positive outlooks, better physical health, and greater satisfaction.
Fosters trust: When residents feel respected, they trust caregivers and are more cooperative with care plans.
Maintains identity: It honors a person's history, choices, and individuality, preventing loss of self.
Encourages independence: Supporting autonomy and choice empowers residents, helping them feel more in control.
Reduces anxiety: A safe, dignified environment lowers stress and anxiety, making residents feel more secure.
Improves care outcomes: Dignity is a core part of compassionate care, leading to better results for residents.
