One of the things I most enjoy helping clients change is subconscious self-sabotage. And that’s exactly what it is—subconscious. It’s not happening in the conscious mind, which is why you often can’t understand why you’re doing it. So let go of any guilt immediately.

Self sabotage is mostly driven by three emotions, shame, guilt, and embarrassment. And it’s always rooted in old life experiences and can often be unhealed trauma. Think of these emotions like little weeds in a garden—they pop up and threaten to ruin the beautiful plants you’ve worked so hard to grow.
Life can be going really well then the old emotion comes up and the next thing you know you are sabotaging yourself and your hard work. The most helpful book I have ever read on this topic is The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. It’s a great read if you are struggling or get in touch, I will clear it in 1-3 sessions.

Today, I saw an 18-year-old client for her second appointment. She initially came to see me with persistent digestive issues, symptoms including chronic nausea, almost daily vomiting, acid reflux, and the sensation of food not passing properly. Despite numerous medical visits no clear diagnosis had been found. Horrendous symptoms for anyone but especially a young adult.

She has been completely free from vomiting for the past two weeks, no acid reflux, food going down easier and just a slight nausea which will ease in time when her gut fully heals. Her food intolerance was Pork and Dairy products, both of which she was eating daily. She also had a nasty bacteria in her stomach. One initial appointment, she took the advice, changed her diet and introduced two supplements to heal her gut and she is well on the road to recovery.

If you are stuck or struggling with your health get in touch or find your local Kinesiologist on the website or the website. We are great at finding the root cause to unexplained symptoms. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons clients reach out to me.

There are several stages to healing it. Firstly, I check the anxiety is not a thought pattern of “something bad is going to happen”. It sometimes is, but in most cases the anxiety is stored in the body as an old trauma and a survival pattern. The nervous system is stuck in fight or flight from an event that happened years ago. So, when we heal the nervous system and the electrical system in the body, then I can work on thought patterns. The next stage is rebuilding the client’s resilience, strength, courage and self-confidence. Anxiety is never a quick fix. I always recommend 3 sessions to heal it. Also, there may be a chemical reason for it. Too much caffeine and alcohol and potentially the need for a B vitamins, ammino acids or magnesium. If you are experiencing anxiety please know it can be healed.

So many of my clients are dehydrated at their first appointment. It still shocks me how few people drink water consistently throughout the day. We should be aiming for at least 2 litres of water a day and more for each caffeinated drink you have. If you are fatigued, have headaches, constipation, brain fog, dry skin and dark urine you are most likely dehydrated. It’s a very simple change to help yourself feel better. Treat yourself to a new water bottle, it sometimes helps to get you started with this new habit.

I often use the term “optimal health”! Recently a client asked me what I meant by that and this is what I said. It’s not just one thing, it’s everything combined. The area I would work on first with a client is sleep. The body heals when we sleep, we handle stress better therefore mood can be better and generally we have more energy. Fix your sleep and everything else will start to improve. 😴

Great advice for Hayfever.

Do you suffer with Hayfever around this time of year?

Here are 5 tips to help you manage seasonal allergies naturally:

1. Source some local honey and take a spoonful a day in the couple of months leading up to and during your usual hay fever period

2. Try drinking nettle tea - it’s one of nature’s natural antihistamines and can help to relieve symptoms like sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose

3. Boost your immune system with supplements such as magnesium, quercetin, turmeric, vitamins A, C, D & E, NAC and probiotics and/or the homeopathic remedy, A.Vogel Pollinosan… even better, instead of guessing, go and see your local kinesiologist so they can muscle test you and find out EXACTLY which of these your body will benefit from!

4. Reduce your intake of dairy to reduce mucous production which will make symptoms worse

5. Up your intake of garlic - it’s best eaten raw and is a natural anti-inflammatory and antihistamine. If you can’t stomach that, try taking garlic tablets. Not only will it boost your immune system, it also acts as a natural decongestant and can help to relieve symptoms.

6.....a bonus tip! Even better is to book in with your nearest kinesiology practitioner so that they can work with you to address the root cause of you hayfever!

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I’ve been seeing Pam for nearly two years now, and she has truly transformed my life. Since childhood, I’ve struggled with severe mood swings, which escalated dramatically in recent years. After tracking my symptoms, I realised they were linked to my menstrual cycle. Through private healthcare, I was diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), which meant that for about two to three weeks each month, I experienced overwhelming feelings of desperation, anger, sadness, and a complete lack of motivation and empathy. It felt like my life was unraveling, affecting my relationships both at work and at home. I often felt as though I was outside my own body, powerless to control my actions, which was utterly frightening.

Upon receiving my diagnosis, I was presented with several treatment options: antidepressants for two weeks each month, birth control, reversible early menopause, or a hysterectomy—none of which felt appropriate at the age of 25.

Fortunately, I had already been consulting with Pam, who had already helped me in many areas of my life. It was only after she introduced her hormone kit and discovered that I was deficient in vitamin A that my life began to turn around.

After taking vitamin A for just a few weeks, I felt like a completely new person. My mood swings ceased, and my friends and family noticed how much happier I had become. Thanks to Pam, I finally feel in control of my life for the first time, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough. If you’re experiencing similar struggles, especially as a woman, there is an obvious lack of support in female healthcare. While hormone pills are often the go-to solution, Pam has helped me discover a better way in which won’t harm my body in the long term. I am forever grateful for her coming into my life and everything she has done since.

SENSE Nutrition

For 13 years I owned a ladies only gym. During this time I heard about every crazy diet under the sun. However, having studied Nutrition and Eating Psychology I knew that none of these diets made any SENSE! This led me to create my own nutrition plan which is based around so much more than just controlling calories. It is about understanding the relationship between what you eat and how you feel. Food nourishes us, it keeps us strong and healthy. Your long-term health, your energy, your mood and your skin is all affected by the food you eat. When you start to view it in this way losing weight becomes much easier as your focus is on good quality nutritious food that will keep you feeling satisfied instead of low nutrient foods that keep you craving. What you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit. What you need to look and feel amazing is a good balance of protein, fibre and fat with minimal processed, high sugar and high fat foods. This plan will guide you to set smart goals, manage cravings, improve your habits, your self-talk and have a better attitude to food.
