It’s nice to be able to give some good news! One of our team has had the main results of his PhD published. Cameron Lindsay studied the effects of Botox on muscles that had become too over active following a stroke.
He found using it early helped slow muscles from becoming stiff, painful and tight.

This treatment can still be effective in reducing stiffness and pain even if you had a stroke years ago and is available through NeuroPhysio at Home.

Dear all,

Following the news over the last few days and the escalating situation with the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we are just writing to notify you that for the foreseeable future, we will no longer be calling out with our patients. This situation is unprecedented and the advice at present is to isolate where possible.

The government and public health authority is not giving a timescale for their advice, but it will likely be a month at the least, possibly longer. We will inform you as soon as we are able to restart our visits, but until then we have an open line to anyone for advice or to discuss their case with us. You can contact by email, text or phone and we will be more than happy to help out.

Our main concern has always been, and will always be, the health and wellbeing of our patients, and it is with sadness that we won’t get to provide the rehab that so many of you benefit from. We are currently looking at options for remote consultation via computer, tablet or phone and will inform you promptly of any possibilities for consultations in that manner.

Please stay as active as you can within the limits of your abilities and safety, focus on positive goals for each day, set yourself new challenges no matter how small, and be kind to yourselves.

We will keep you updated and please don’t hesitate to contact, if even just for a chat!

Kind regards

Josh, Cameron and the Neuro Physio at Home team
