Spring is in the air, and so are some exciting changes in our grounds 🌸🌿
Our wonderful grounds team are hard at work adding some lovely new touches to make visits to our gardens and memorial areas even more peaceful and enjoyable.

Great news for the town! Well done to everyone involved. 👏

We’re delighted to announce that planning permission has officially been approved for the redevelopment of Honiton RFC 🏉

This exciting project will see major upgrades to the club’s facilities, including a brand-new covered grandstand, enhanced spectator areas, improved clubhouse amenities, and a full pitch redevelopment to bring the ground up to a modern standard.

The plans have been designed with both players and supporters in mind — creating a better matchday experience, improved facilities for the community, and a venue the club can be proud of for years to come.

Works are scheduled to begin during the 2026 off-season, ensuring minimal disruption to fixtures while we build for the future.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping get this over the line — we can’t wait to get started.

We are currently seeking an experienced and fully qualified Funeral Director to join our team at Shoobridge Funeral Services.

This role offers the chance to be part of a successful team that takes pride in providing a highly personal and compassionate service to the local and wider communities.

Primarily based in Exeter, you will be required to work across all three of our current branches - Honiton, Exmouth and Exeter.

A full driving license is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the company's overall effectiveness by overseeing local branch operations and ensuring daily activities are conducted efficiently. Consistently enhance productivity, standards, and reputation by actively promoting branch initiatives to optimise outcomes.

• Funeral Director
• Full-time (40 hours per week - 09:00 - 17:00)
• Salary £35k - £40K depending on experience and qualifications
• Based primarily in Exeter
• 4 weeks Annual Leave (plus bank holidays)
