I want to highly recommend the wonderful Karen Hocking and her team at Ex Kare, so that other clients can benefit from her professional, reliable, loving care. I can't thank Karen enough for her support.
As a family, we reached a point, (post hospital admission) where we seriously needed a hand helping with daily tasks and personal care. The extra time from a registered professional helped keep our Mother safe and happy when she would have been unsafe, lonely and scared. Her background of 30 years plus in care, means that she has the experience to deal with, in our case, End of Life care. She knows when to ask for aids, ring the doctor or ask for referrals, whilst always liaising with us, the family. We had an exercise book to say which of the team had visited and what they'd done on the visit. This was a really straightforward, accountable and useful way of communicating when time is short in busy lives.— feeling blessed.
It's not easy asking or finding help when you've been used to managing within family, however Karen fitted in seamlessly, efficiently and beautifully. We never thought our dear Mother would accept care but due to her sunny nature, Mother loved her, looked forward to her visits and missed her when she was not there. Added to the package of care, is an extra ingredient, fun! They played cards and painted fingernails which tickled Mother immensely and made her final months really special for all of us. Karen chooses and looks after her team well, and they are a credit to her care also.
The morning Mother died, Karen came back with one of her team to help, again, I am so grateful for that. . I feel blessed that we choose Karen. I am peaceful knowing that as a family we choose the right Care team, Ex Kare and that we all did the best that we could do for our wonderful Mother. Rest assured, you'll be in excellent hands.
