I'm currently in hospital and I'm hoist transfer. as I sit here I notice some very stark problems,
-nobody has checked on me -despite being diabetic and having no food
-when I asked for food because of my sugar levels I was shown the toilet
-they don't speak to me instead speaking to colleagues about me "can she do this?" despite me being infront of them and clearly capable
-a senior nurse stood in front of me and told another nurse how to look for damage to my sling to which I said my sling is brand new and he replied shortly with "we still need to check "

sadly I don't feel my experience is anything unique. why does our Healthcare system make disabled people feel thick and a complete burden in society? I know their busy but where's the dignity?

I'd love to change this

Here we go again ! Tesco is once again full of rubbish and so many abandoned crates making the store inaccessible for wheelchair users or anyone with physical needs .i witnessed many able bodied people struggling to get round the store.
