Let’s talk about breathing during exercise for a second… because it’s one of those things that gets people overthinking everything…

Yes, breathing matters. Oxygen fuels your muscles, helps control pressure in your core and can make movements feel smoother and stronger. But…

In my classes, perfect breathing patterns are NOT the priority.

I’d much rather see you:
✔️ Moving with good, safe technique
✔️ Supporting your body with strong, controlled movement
✔️ Feeling confident in what you’re doing

…instead of being completely distracted trying to remember:
“Was that breathe in? Breathe out? Wait… what comes next?!”

The only breathing rule I really care about?

🚫 Do NOT hold your breath.

Holding your breath can spike pressure in your body, make you feel dizzy and take away the support your muscles need.
