Su***de Prevention Week | 8–14 September
World Su***de Prevention Day | 10 September

This week, we stand together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind everyone: You are not alone.

Every life lost to su***de is a devastating reminder of how deeply people can suffer β€” often in silence. But no one should have to face those dark moments alone. Whether you're struggling yourself, worried about someone you love, or want to be part of the change β€” your voice, your care, and your presence matter.

We encourage everyone across Surrey to take a moment this week to:
β€’ Reach out to a friend or loved one
β€’ Listen without judgement
β€’ Share helpful resources
β€’ Speak openly about mental health
β€’ Light a candle near a window at 8pm on 10th September in memory of those we’ve lost

Together, we can break the stigma, encourage healing, and offer hope.

🧑 You are not alone.
🧑 You are valued.
🧑 There is help. There is hope.

Moira has been a part of the NHS since 1978 and has been working at Birchwood and Smallfield for the last 16 years.

She has been an integral part of the team and we will all miss working with her. Although we are sad to see her leave, we wish her all the best for the future. She is a true SUPERHERO!
