The Story So Far

We were set up in 2018, as practice health champions, and we pride ourselves on being a group of proactive local people, who are passionate about our community and the healthcare services provided by Birchwood Medical Practice.

We are a volunteer group who work in partnership with the staff at the practice to give you additional non-medical support through a variety of activities to help make a difference to the services patients receive.

We host a range of support groups and activities including: providing a listening ear, refreshments, health related information, walks, health and lifestyle education (such as healthy-eating suggestions and blood pressure checks), games, etc. The activities mentioned are being developed and introduced gradually.
