What a fantastic morning at our weekly Bingo session! 🎉✨

Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying lots of laughter, friendly competition, and great company as everyone came together for one of our favourite weekly activities. It’s always lovely to see so many smiling faces and such amazing community spirit throughout the home. ❤️

📢 Don’t forget! On the 22nd of May we are hosting our exciting 1940’s Day here at Horncastle Tanglewood 🇬🇧✨

We have a fantastic day planned including:

🎯 Morning garden games and activities
🍽️ A delicious classic 1940’s lunch prepared by our fabulous chef, Callum
🎤 From 2pm, the brilliant Sarah Jane will be entertaining us with wonderful live singing performances

Yesterday, Sylvia had the opportunity to try out the new radio headphones, and they were a wonderful success. The headphones are a fantastic addition for residents who enjoy listening to the radio, as they help reduce background noise and allow for a much clearer and more personal listening experience.
Sylvia thoroughly enjoyed spending time listening to some beautiful classical music. The calming melodies helped her to relax and unwind, creating a peaceful and soothing atmosphere for her. Throughout the session, Sylvia was smiling away and appeared very content and happy while listening.
It was lovely to see how much enjoyment and comfort the headphones brought to her. Activities like this can provide residents with meaningful moments of relaxation, enjoyment, and reminiscence, while also supporting wellbeing and emotional comfort. Sylvia’s positive response showed just how beneficial these new headphones will be for residents who love music and radio programmes.

Yesterday we had the fabulous Bailey in for Be Great Fitness, and what a fantastic time our residents had! The room was full of smiles and plenty of cheeky laughter 😊

Bailey kept everyone moving with lots of fun exercise, and also got to try out our brand new hydration station. Our Waterade machine offers a variety of flavours for residents to enjoy, all packed with plenty of vitamins to help keep everyone refreshed and healthy – yesterday’s favourite was pineapple, and it definitely went down a treat! 🍍💧

Yesterday morning greeted us with beautiful sunshine, even if there was a cheeky breeze in the air. Rather than let it put us off, we wrapped up warm, stepped out into the garden, and soaked it all in anyway. There’s something special about those crisp, bright mornings—the kind where the air feels fresh and the coffee somehow tastes even better.

With cosy layers on and warm mugs in hand, we sat back, enjoyed the moment, and let the sunshine do its thing. A little chill wasn’t going to stop us from making the most of it ☀️☕️🌿

Yesterday we had the fabulous Ellie from Be Great Fitness join us again, and what a wonderful session it was! 💪✨

Ellie is always welcomed with the warmest smiles from our residents, and it’s easy to see why. Her energy is infectious, her sessions are engaging, and she creates such a positive, uplifting atmosphere every single time she visits.

Our residents truly enjoy getting involved, staying active, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It’s not just exercise — it’s connection, confidence, and fun all rolled into one!

Thank you, Ellie, for bringing such joy and motivation to our home. We’re already looking forward to your next visit! 💙
